Is Carrie nice with Quinn because she has read the letter?

I've been watching Homeland for years but after the end of last season the show has gotten under my skin a bit, and I feel much more invested in the Carrie/Quinn dynamic than previously. I think it's mostly because I had the fear of an abrupt ending if Quinn would have died in the S5 finale. In S6 it seems we've been given a second chance to watch this relationship play out, and I'm hopeful that this season will have some development in that regard, and so far I've not been disappointed. At the very least, I'm cautiously optimistic.
There was a specific point in S5 that stuck with me and I thought, "wow, Carrie was truly devastated that Quinn disappeared." It was when she mentioned that she had been sober for nine months (in 5x2). At that point, Quinn had been gone for over two years and I couldn't help but think his leaving played a huge part in her alcoholism. We never got a detailed explanation but when Carrie told Quinn that she had looked for him and thought about him all that time (5x4), it tipped the scale and made me believe that she was heartbroken at one point. I mean, she asked for a minute and he gave her two years - that had to have hurt.
Granted, at this point in time she had moved on with Jonas but it was obvious that she still had feelings for Quinn when she finally got to see him again. Near the end of the season, when Carrie saw Quinn on the TV her reaction solidified it for me.
While Carrie was with him in the hospital and learned of Quinn's actual past, and then read the letter, her promise to him seemed so genuine. Carrie was going to be there for Quinn when he came back to her, and gratefully, he did.
In S6, Carrie has honestly kept her word, and the amount of effort she has put into his care, including her relocation, the daily visits, the scheduling and management of therapy, moving him into her home, etc... these are the actions of a family member or a spouse. To take on that type of role is a truly intimate act, and not one she would do if she wasn't in love with him. Carrie loves Saul too, however, could you see her taking on that role for him? Surely not at that level.
The letter provided Carrie with a much-needed affirmation of his feelings toward her at the moment she needed it the most. In turn, that gave her hope and something to latch onto. Carrie is showing us that hope by her acceptance of Quinn in S6. She seems so much softer toward him, and she's extremely patient of his recovery. In the debut, it's amazing how much she had been putting up with from him. Her ability to let him work things through, even when it's clearly bothering her says a great deal to me as well. I'm finding this season so interesting as the dynamic of their relationship has shifted. It went from Quinn longing for Carrie in previous seasons to Carrie longing for Quinn.
I think they are going to get there with each other, I just hope it lasts for a little while.
