I don't know were exactly Akasha found this survey but it is pretty silly in the "not too smart" way. It's fun to read how others have responded to it though, so I'll give it a shot as well.
1. Do you wear a name tag at work? Nope, but atm. I do write my name on the whiteboard so all the student remember what my name is. I should make THEM wear name tags though. would be much easier that way. Then I wouldn't have to remember their names or anything.
2. What kind of car do you drive? I don't. I use my bicycle. So Nyah ;P Much cheaper, more environmental and...did I mention cheaper?
3. What do you order when you go to Taco Bell? That's some place were you eat a Mexican talking dog right? I have heard of them in the US, through mass media. We get a bunch of sitcoms and they, of course, make pop-cultural references or references to US brands. To sum up. I don't.
4. Have you ever had a garage sale? No. And we don't really have them in Demark. We have fleamarkets instead. It probably has something to do with the fact that very few people actually have a garage. Well of course many do have one, but it's not an integrate part of the house like in the US. More often it's really just a shed to keep the weather away from the car.
6. What kind of dog do you have? What car, what order, what dog? You know. You should take a lesson in how you make surveys. You can't make assumptions unless your are only interested in that answer and only from people who CAN answer. You have to ask the question like this: "If you have a dog, what kind is it?" and still you do not make room for the possibility that I have TWO dogs, not of the same kind. So really it should be "If you have any dogs, how many do you have and what kind are they?". And then you are still discriminating against all us other people who do not have a dog, but a cat (like me) or other types of pets.
7. What's for dinner tonight? Possibly nothing. We are both too tired. So bread, or maybe some soup.
8. What is the last alcoholic beverage you had? A beer... I think. after the first beers and a few coloured drinks and an Irish coffee I am not exactly sure what the last one was. But I think it was a beer.
9. Stupidest thing you ever did with your cell phone? Uhm. I don't remember doing anything particularity stupid. The cats often do stupid things to it, like trying to eat it, poke it off tables or trying to ply the buttons out with her claws. So the stupidest things has to be playing with the cat, with the phone.
10. Last time you were sick? Not long ago. From the January 2. to almost 2 weeks out. But it doesn't really count as being sick, more lik ebeing the victim of a biological attack.
(See previous post about that).
11. How long is your hair? Long enough to be in a ponytail, like on my avatar. It never really gets longer than this.
12. Are you happy right now? I'm mostly tired right now. I haven't had enough sleep and I'm pretty stressed over my internship. So I would put it down to content. I'm not unhappy though. :)
13. What song is stuck in your head right now? None. As I said I was tired. But if I try to dig down into the musical-box-part of my brain, the first to pop up is "Superchick - Princes and Frogs". It so happy and has a good beat.
14. Where did you go last? To the school I'm currently an intern at. To teach some kids about Human Rights. Specifically the Child Rights, and how those evil USA people haven't signed it! So they think it's OK to treat kids like shit. And after that we sang some socialistic songs about our comrades in the east and waved red flags. ;P
15. Do you drink beer? I think I already answered this one don't you? Yes, but not very often.
16. Have your brothers or sisters ever told you that you were adopted? Nope. Why would he, I'm his super-cool big brother. What kind of crazy question is that?
17. What is your favorite key chain on your keys? My first thought was... I only got ONE keyring. But then I remembered that I also have a handy bottle opener. Beerbottles and glas-soda bottle in Denmark are closed with bottlecaps you need a tool to open. You can't just unscrew them. So having a bottleopener in your keyring means you always have it on you. It's very handy, epsicially at parties. Its easily just as handy as having a lighter if there are a lot of people who smoke. However most young people quickly learn to open beerbottles with just about anything... other bottles or lighters are a common tool. Some stupid/crazy people even use their teeth! I prefer my opener mostly because it what it's made for.
18. What was the last movie you watched at home? Uhm, The Princess Bride I think. I've watched parts of other movies but not really from start to finish.
19. What is in your pocket?
Handses? A Knife? String or Nothing? *Digs in*. Nothing. I often have something in my pockets though. Most often a hairband or some small piece of plastic or rubber I don't know were comes from. I never really have lose change in my pockets, they usually go straight to my wallet. Oh I very often have my cellphone in my pocket, but when I come home I put it somewhere and then forgets where that is. So I have to run around looking for it, or have Akasha call it with her phone, so I can find it by the sound. Sometimes I DO remember where I put it, but the cats have poked it around so it's not where I though.
20. Who introduced you to your bf/gf/husband/wife? You know, you could just have said "significant other" that would be more fitting and actually use fewer letters... especially if you just wrote S.O. (I'm not that fund of abbreviations though). Anyway, I met her over the internet. That is to say we lived at the same dorm so we weren't far away from each other, but it still took a long time for us to actually meet up.
21. Where do you hurt?I don't. I'm a little sore in my back from sitting hunchbacked writing long answers to this long survey though. You must live in a sad place if you automatically assume that all people hurt.
22. Has someone ever made you a Build-A-Bear? No. a Friend of mines daughter has one, she build it herself though. Isn't that all the fun of it? What's the fun in someone else building it for you? I would much rather have someone gave me a Build-A-PC anyway. My current one can't really run the newest games.
23. What DVD is in your DVD player? Oh we DO have a DVD player, yay. Got it for Christmas. Before that we've been without for a long time as the old one broke down. Not that we use it much though (we use the PC's instead), but it's still nice to have. Huh, whats in it? Uhm, Buffy maybe, or Hana-Kimi or maybe Alien vs. Predator. Can't remember.
24. What's something fun you did today? Playing a game with my student called "The Big Escape". It's a sort of roleplaying game were the players has to take the role of some refugees running away from an evil army, trying to make it across the border. Along the way they get some obstacles were they have to spend extra time, leave someone behind, or be a bit ruthless. It's about democracy and human rights. It was very fun to watch them play it as they got all excited and got into some heated discussions. They are only 12-13 years old but that didn't stop them from having some pretty deep arguments. ^^
25. Who was the principal of your high school? I'm pretty sure it was a man and not a woman. I seem to recall that he had a beard... I hope it was a man.
26. Has your house ever been TPd? Townportal'ed? I thought that was something you did for others and not against inanimated objects? That's how I always used it. "Hey do you got a TP?". Not "He totally TP'ed me!". You might be confusing TP with PK or TD, because that's something that happens to you... rarely to your house though. See this is why abbreviations are bad, people don't know what you mean. I assume you had plenty of time to write these questions so why is it so important to save a few letters?
27. What do you think of when you hear the word meow? Mijav, which is the Danish 'word' for Meow. Then closely followed comes "maw" which is the very determined and insisting sound Modem makes whenever she is unhappy or what's something.
28. What are you listening to right now? The muffled sound of Akasha listening to Bon Jovi upstairs and the sound of claws trying to stop on a smooth floor (the cats are chasing around).
29. Drinking? That's not even a question, that's a statement with the wrong symbol behind it! I hate when people put questionmarks behind every sentence? You know? It makes them sound like they doesn't really mean what they are saying? Like they are searching for constant validation or confirmation? You know?
30. What is your favorite aisle at Wal-Mart? The one without zombies in it. Preferably with
Ash in it, just to be on the safe side (Hail to the king baby!). I'm happy we don't have Wal-Mart, S-Mart or other types of 'marts' in Denmark though, because then I can go shopping without fearing zombie attacks.
31. When is your birthday? 10/3 (that's Danish for March 10.)
32. What are you reading right now? To quote Nibbles and Akasha: "THIS SURVEY". Seriously, that's not a very clever way to put a question in a text; "right now". You know the answer is so obvious. If you wanted to know what fictional literature I am reading at the moment you should have asked so, and I could have answered that the only thing I am currently reading is "The Bracelet" by
akashathekitty. I've run out of Terry Pratchett books so apart from her story all I got left is RPG books and School books.
33. Where did you buy the shirt you're wearing now? Spain... or maybe France. I can't remember. I think it was in France, in Carcasonne. Man, it's old then >.<.
34. Is there anything hanging from your rear view mirror? See once again you manage to waste time asking about something I can't answer to. You could have saved both of our time by simple starting with a question "Do you own a car? If not, then ignore Questions 2 and 34".
35. How many states in the US have you been to? I'll chose to read that as "How many European Countries have you been to?". Lets see: Sweden, Norway, England, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Hungary, Holland and of course Denmark. So that's 11... 12 if you count the Vatican state as a country.
36. What kind of milk do you drink? I drink "Mini-milk". It's a new 'type of milk' Well not really new, but it was around when I was a kid. Back then we had Churned Milk, which is a bit sour tasting and very thick. Sweet Milk, which is more fat and therefore more sweet, almost only used for cooking. Light Milk which is what I used to drink, it has lower fat but still tasted like milk. And then Skimmed Milk that has next to no fat but doesn't taste like anything. Mini-Milk only has 0,5% fat but tastes like Light Milk. We mostly used it to 'cook' cereal though. I only drink it on rare occasions, almost always with cookies.
37. What are you going to do after this? Uhm get some food. Now that you ask me, I AM actually pretty hungry. you know, you shouldn't have asked this question already at nr. 37 out of 50, because now I'm going to rush through the rest to get it over with.
38. Who was the last person you went shopping with? Akasha, she's the only one I ever shop with.
40. What about your favorite dessert? Ice cream, with chocolate.
41. What is something you need to go shopping for? Clothes, specifically pants. All my pants got small holes in them or are broken.
42. Do you have the same name as one of your relatives? Nope.
43. What kind of car do your siblings drive? None. His not even old enough to get a drivers licens and my parents doesn't own a car.
44. Do you like pickles? Yes.
45. How about olives? Mmm, yes, very much so. both the green and the black ones. Especially with a light salad and some feta and a little bread...mmm.. Did I mention I was hungry? If you go to Spain or Greece or other of the southern European countries the olives are very different. They haven't been in a layer of liquid for long time, they are much fresher. They are usually sold with the stone still i nthem, and they taste way more salty. I still like them though ^^
46.what is your favorite kind of gum? "Some kind of peppermint". Doesn't that classify almost all gum? I don't chew gum much.
47. What is your favorite kind of juice? Apple, or mixed. (I told you I would rush to get through this)
48. Do you have any tan lines? No, that would require: A) Sun, we don't got much sun at this time of the year. B) Temperatures above 3-5ºC so I would have any skin exposed to said none-existing sun. C) Me actually caring about a tan line.
49. Do you remember the name of your kindergarten teacher? No, not really. I do remember my brothers though, she looked a lot like our mother. It was freakish.
50. Have you ever drank bathtub water? I go swimming twice a week in a really big bathtub. I do not drink it, but sometimes when you are exhausted you forget to close your mouth in time so I gulp down some of it... it tastes like chlorine.
Phew... now I'll get something to eat, I hope we got any olives left.
