Shadow manipulations

I've been meaning to point to this for several days. It's an installation piece called "Lies, All Lies", which is attempting to challenge us to approach the media from within a more critical framework. The artist, Hannes Nehls explains that "driven by the immense power the digitization of media and its effects have on societies all over, the crisis of visual authenticity became one of the large social and ethical topics." (ok, so the English translation isn't so great, the point he's making still works.)
The technology used in this piece is really interesting, and I like the philosophy of attempting to discompose our understanding of something so seemingly natural and normal as our shadow. I think though that to get the full effect I would have to go there and see it for myself. Damn, wish I was in Berlin....
Via we make money not art.
