In the blink of an eye
I was just informed that DEX has hired a new plant manager who is fluent in Japanese, rendering my position redundant (even though it already was, by and large). So, today is my last day working here. I kind of just wanna leave, since it's not like I'm doing anything here anyway, but I suppose there's no reason not to stay and get paid for a few more hours.
Ah well. To be honest, I didn't like this job all that much anyway, outside of the paycheck. It just felt like a monumental waste of time. I'm really not surprised they're cutting me; after all, one of the things Funai was complaining about was that DEX was going over budget and had too many people who were not directly involved in production. I'm still not really sure why they hired me in the first place. I don't think they know, either.
