In the barracks

MON 24JAN04 - Here I am in the barracks before taps and I'm probably just going to end up staying up late and type this up anyway. I was so tired this morning because of watch, I could hardly get out of my rack in the morning. During classes today I had to fight to keep my eyes open. I woke up thinking that for some reason this day would be really bad but it turned out to be alright. We had our second test today I like hardly studied and I thought I would do really bad but I ended up getting like a 95 so I was really happy about that not to mention relieved, haha. It was so unbelievebly cold this morning too and we have to stand out side to wait to get into morning chow and I felt like my ears were going to fall off. I've kind of noticed I jump around between thoughts in my journal alot so I'm sorry if that bothers anyone. Well I remember this line in Forrest Gump when he is in boot camp and he says while he is lying in this rack something like, "Night time in the Army is the loniest time." Well I've come to realize that night time in the Navy is too. You just lie there thinking about home and people back home. You lay there thinking if you are going to pass the training tomorrow. I know I think about alot... I don't know how poeple who have been in the Navy for like 15 years or something make it seem so easy to be away from everyone and everything. I guess you just kind of get used to it. My friend Carter made a journal by the way. His name is fleetelite13 you all should go check it out hes a cool guy. I have the gas chamber on Friday whichi I am definatly not looking forward to. I hated that thing in boot camp and I really don't feel like going through it again. I've heard it was easier this time around though. I wonder what Dumka is doing right now? I tried calling his cell phone for the longest time but I talked to Tina and she said that he shut it off so I lucked out on that one. I already feel like sleeping and it's not even taps yet. I might have to finish this up tomorrow after work sometime. I'll talk to everyone tomorrow afternoon! Have a great night people! :)

I just decided to post this today because I don't know if I will have to put it up tonight. I'm going to try to write more later if I can. Talk to you later guys!
