two gone and no more for a while
So I am now completely ratless. Ratso died on Sunday morning, but I knew she was dying the moment I got home Saturday night. I actually thought she was already dead because she was lying there with her eyes wide open and not moving. Then she heaved a breath and I'm like "Ok, within the next 12 hours she's going to be gone." So I stayed up until almost 2 in the morning just holding her, hoping she would die in my lap so she wouldnt go alone. Alas, I was far too tired to stay up all night, and by the time I went to be she had decided to actually nibbe on some apple and actually drink something. But then by the time I woke up around 10:30 she had died.
*sigh*
Its going to be a long time before I decide to have another little pet like a rodent or something. Next on the list right now is a dog: Dean and Leo are going to get one once Dean graduates from CU. I asked that they get it preferably before I leave for Wales, for various reasons.
Dont worry, it'll be, at most, a medium sized dog. There will be No Big Dogs in our house.
