I had the coolest, epic dream last night. It will sound like a horrible horrible fanfic though XD; But oh man it was cool in my head. Also I haven't had a dream with my own characters in it for ages and aaages. Well, character.
It started off in an asian-esque region with alot of mountains, where an unknown force had corrupted the spirits and elementals of the world. It was a like a disease running through that made them violent and crazy. Aang, Katara and Sokka of Avatar are there trying to cleanse/fight those spirits and elementals.
But there's a third party in the war against the elementals here and that's apparently General Caine from MZDM. Man was he cool, you could take one look at him and just know he's badass. Black greater coat, horrible glowing yellow eye and just this foreboding atmosphere whereever he went. While he had nothing against Aang, Caine wasn't afraid to take him on either. In one battle where Aang and the crew were surrounded in a tibetan monastry-like place, they were trapped in an underground room against Shadows. Katara did some kind of cool waterbending that drove them off. While on the outside, Caine was storming the place in specially outfitted tanks. Just wrecking havoc on the ice elementals.
I actually managed to dream an epic battle on these green fields with giant black crystals. I think the crystals were either power sources or being used as portal systems. But undead soldiers were just swarming the place like Palinor Fields. The sky was black and purple and Caine.. oh Caine just had such a dark aura around him as he surveyed the battle like it was nothing.
The dream then skipped ahead much further into the future. The time is mostly dominated by anthro races and I guess the elementals actually won out because it was a more primitive time. Caine had been outcasted along with other creepier and more occult people, such as Oni. But Caine was biding his time, he knew it wasn't actually all over and he would be called to duty. Finally a soothsayer instructed the anthros to seek out Caine and Oni as the old threat had returned. Apparently demons from a Diablo-esque hell had been the ones spreading the disease before. So they go and seek out Caine, who's been residing in this dark, twisted abode. It was in a swamp-like area with mangroves and an eery green mist with your requisite green glows floating around. Yeah, no wonder people avoided these occult people :P Well he agrees to once again lead the charge. Now they need to go look for Oni.
It switches to an interview style documentary, like the opening to District 9. People are being interviewed on this mysterious Oni. And while accounts differ, it seems like she was outcasted when she started hearing voices and by now she's pretty much raving mad, completely unable to distinguish the voices from the rest of the world. But she's still needed as part of the fighting force. She's somehow found, and if being told what to do, she's almost sane at times. Perfectly capable of massacring the opposing force in her usual cold manner. Though the dream itself wasn't very gorey. Most killing was implied or it was something that didn't bleed that was being killed "on screen."
I really wish I could remember what happened next, but my memory skips right to where things have apparently gone wrong again and they've been forced into slavery by the demons in hell. there are people chained to some cavern ceiling while working over these giant vats on orange, bubbling messes. Oni's amongst them in her torn up robes, that still cover what it needs to cover. It wasn't actually too skimpy, mostly you just saw her legs and arms really. She's actually impeding work because she can't tell apart orders from what the demons are saying and what the voices are saying. So she's pulled down to the floor and beaten to be made example of. She's roughed up a bit, but then snaps and kills all the demons in the area before escaping into another area.
The dream's pretty much over there. It's like an incomplete game ending, where I didn't unlock everything, so I don't get to see how hell is defeated and all that XP But it was still freaking cool lol.
Makes me want to do more badass stuff with Oni. She's gotten pretty weak looking over the years..
