OK, a little later than advertised! Here is a proper post!!...
Where on earth did I leave off last time?
Went To The Coven on 12th July. I hadn't been since March. It was a good night. I got there at about 10pm and the place was heaving! Met tons of people that night and Deviant:UK also played, which was cool. I did take a camera, but realised that I'd picked up my clanky 35mm instead of my digital. How I could mistake that brick for my nice sleek digital, I do not know! I was going round all night apologising saying that my nice camera was currently in my knicker drawer! I did take a few photos, but remember the dark ages when you actually had to wait to see the outcome of the photos you took? Mine should be back any day now... After The Coven, went, as usual, to the greasy kebab shop opposite for a veggie kebab.
The following day, my friend, Rachel, picked me up and we went for a walk along the canal in Leighton Buzzard (near where she lives). It's really nice over there. The last time I was there was in 2004 for a barge festival thing. Rachel and I ended up in a pub, then we got some food from a dodgy takeaway. Two greasy meals in less than 24 hours! My cholesterol must have shot up after that!!
The Thursday after that,
gothyjdarkstar and I met some people in The George II and we all walked up to Thursday Fury at The Black Horse. We stopped off at Mr. Cod (which for some reason a few weeks ago before,
gothyjdarkstar and I were sure was called 'The Codfather' until we saw the sign. I guess we must have seen The Codfather somewhere else recently... I didn't have any food there, but I did have some of Kelly's chips and chilli sauce!
Music was great at Thursday Fury. Lots of my old favourites were played - "Einstein a Go Go", "Windpower","Ca Plane Pour Moi", "Da Da Da" etc.! Def one of the best Thursday Furys I'd been to for music!
Oh, and incidentally, for the regulars of Thursday Fury, this is what The Black Horse looks like in the day time!...
Taken yesterday.
For those not familiar with The Black Horse in Luton, the sign actually has a picture of the Uffington BLACK Horse on it (you can just about make it out if you click on the photo to enlarge it)! It used to have a picture of the Lloyds Bank horse (well, it certainly resembled it!). I was walking past it to my college in Feb or March this year and I was trying to work out what was different about the sign!!
More in a bit...
