So what have you been up to? / Major life changes? Same old same old?
Nothing much new. Same job, same apartment (thank fuck--we were worried since rents, real estate, etc. is going through the roof here), same cats (also thank fuck--Spot had a sarcoma on his back leg, but it's been removed and knock on wood he'll be okay).
What fandom are you in/do you spend most of your time in?
Miss Fisher, probably, by which I mean that it's the most recent fandom I've written in. I don't know--romance novels? baseball? women's hockey? Whatever my twitter feed is talking about?
Where do you hang out online?
Here, twitter: @fulloffictions (locked, but I follow fannish people), tumblr: ylizam (also circling, but that's non-fannish; it's also where I follow from, however, as the fannish tumblr is a secondary blog). Mostly twitter.
What are you reading?
Jem and the Holograms (the comic, which is delightful and charming). The most recent Toby Daye in anticipation of A Red-Rose Chain (which comes out on Tuesday already, and wow time keeps speeding up). Lord Peter Wimsey mysteries. Assorted romance novels (KJ Charles, Tessa Dare, Courtney Milan, and Rose Lerner recently--some rereads, some new, etc.). I've been in a bit of a comfort reading mood lately.

Other than Miss Fisher (repeatedly)? Black Sails, baseball (the Red Sox are a mess, but a weirdly fun mess: Papi's quest for 500 dingers, Xander Bogaerts, Mookie Betts, Blake Swihart, Jackie Bradley Jr., Eduardo Rodriguez, etc.), soccer, Gravity Falls, Jem, GBBO.
What are you making?
Not much, alas. Working on a pretentious Jack(/Rosie) thing set during and after the war, doing research for an original thing (anyone have a beat on good stuff on 1920s New Orleans?), contemplating whether or not to sign up for
femslashex, looking forward to Yuletide.
What are you squeeing about today?
Hm. The NWHL! Vin Scully coming back for another year! The Mets (my NL team, and the baseball team my mother and I share) (David Wright! that rotation! no, really, that rotation! Juan Uribe! Yoenis Cespedes!) (do not lecture me about liking a team in each league, btw, because I fan how I want)! Jessica Mendoza on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball!
If you could rope old fandom friends into a new fandom, it would be.....
Miss Fisher! Miss Fisher fic for everyone (especially Mac fic--I have no clue who in canon to ship her with, but I want long awesome Mac fic where she has a love life and is awesome and yes)! UnREAL (everyone on this show is terrible in all the best (for me) ways)! Scott & Bailey (I just want all the long epic Julie/Gill in the world)! Which, one of these isn't really new, one is super new, and one is medium new?
I should really watch/read/dive into _______ and then come talk to you about it!
I really need to watch Spy already (I don't have a source for ahems at the moment, so I'm waiting until it's available legally). Also The Man from U.N.C.L.E., which I will not be able to be objective about I bet (I kind of adore the original?), but which twitter tells me is OT3-tastic, which is my jam. Oh, and at some point I'm going to finish watching Legend of Korra. Hmm.

How is it Allston Christmas already? Why are hotels in New Orleans so much more expensive than they were the last time we went? Why are weekends so short? What is sleep?
