My birthday was great. It had a cool date thing going on and everything (if you're not in the US, at least, who are a bit more individualistic with their date formats... hehe).
It was a 200% improvement on last year (silly 21st) and the year before (breaking-up-with-bf dramatics), I must say.
In the morning I felt the specialest I ever had, with heaps of SMSs and IMs and emails saying happy birthday. It's amazing how nice just a little message is! And on these little forums I go to, I got a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAZ!" topic with some random animal pictures posted by various forum members. That was very cool!
Present haul:
- Photo album and big thick doona/duvet (parents)
- Lilo & Stitch DVD (sister)
- Awesome fun collection of Disney things and chockies from the US (marinaobeckham *hugs!*)
- Cirque du Soleil ticket!! (Jase) (I can't wait til September!)
- Cool mugs, and Sushi book (kate)
- Book voucher (tummers)
- Socks and underwear (my auntie - I think she took notice of my washing when I was over there!)
- Paper Mario for Gamecube (Jase's parents - yay!)
Hehe yay :)
We went out to a Thai restaurant in the evening... which had really great food, except it was freezing cold inside! They had two little oil heaters going, but it really wasn't enough to warm up the room. We had to put our coats on near the end.
And on the day after my birthday, Friday, I went out with some friends and co-workers to a local pub to play some pool and have some beer and pizza. It was great to see everyone, though there were perhaps a few too many people to talk to... I felt I was rushing around everyone all evening, but still didn't feel I'd talked to anyone enough by the end of it! It's a bit stressful being the person-who-invited-everyone!
So yeah, that's about it. I had fun lazing around this weekend, playing Paper Mario :)
