Ok, update on the girls first!
Nickala is talking a million miles an hour. Half is gibberish but the other half... The other half are actual words!
We have at least 50 words now but I'm sure there are more. Everytime I get to around 50 though my mind draws a blank but then I remember about half an hour later (after I've given up all hope of even getting close to figuring it out) that there are loasd more.
By 2 in the afternoon, she has a serious case of verbal Diarrhea which lasts until she burns out about 6:30ish. She just gibbles and chats and copies words and wants everyone to be paying clsoe attention to every SHE is saying! Very cute. Everyday I realise more and more why I love this age so much. :)
Taya has been good too. She's been reading alot and genuinely just wanting to absorb as much information as you can feed her. She wants to knows numbers, what numbers and numbers do, how words are spelt, how you write those words we just spelt. Most of all, she just wants to be able to read. She has memorised a few of her favorite books which I'm sure will help her learn to read even faster (knowing the book from cover to cover and recognising those words she already knows will set her on a good path I think.)
She's such a bright little thing and can't wait to go to big school next year. Between you and me, I can't wait either. :D
We have spent the past week going into several shops looking for bridesmaid dresses. We'd try one we both liked but one of us looked yucky in it then we'd try one we didn't like and we both fit into it. Finally, yesterday we went into an events store and found the perfect dress! It suits both of us and we both love it! So does Mel, BOOOONUS!!!
I've decided that for OUR wedding (as the bridesmaid dresses I was talking about were for Mel's wedding) on the actual day, I want everyone dressed formal. I wasn't going to bother but I figure that it's being done in a chapel, I'll be wearing a proper wedding dress and Andrew will be all fancied up so I want everyone else to be also. I guess I just want something traditional about our wedding. So far, everything we have done, we've done backwards and I think I'd just like something a little more expected, I guess you could say.
I will add however that there will be no doubt that at the end of the day, everyone will be in their cossies and out on the beach.
Ok, what else.. Oh, right.
Just wanted to apologise for not updating more. I found myself updating about stuff that even I found boring and so I only update when I feeeeel like it. If I were to update all the time then I'd get bored and I'd purely be writing for my audience. I don't want to do that so you'll just have to bear with me folks. :)
This is what the girls are doing right now. Snoring their pretty little heads off. :)
