who would have thought
the dream would have come to pass...slow on the burner, but melting a jeweled heart, golden, tattered, but magnificent behind honey sweet eyes and that look that could bring a million fighters to their knees just by one glance.

breathe, I say. just breathe. let the renewal trick the patience of waiting into being a shortlived journey.

I know how to stand in the cold rain, with wobbly legs,
a stuttering stance and a stare into space,
looking onto and past the roads and rocky denial that dared to overstay a welcoming of thoughts in your mind; a mind that quits only to live and blinks only to close it's door to find rest...

I have eyes that dance with an awkward elegance, like a beginner's ballet steps,
but in secret they search for mercy.

Set free, she is, this she knows, but the hands fold and the fingers cross and the head bows and the annointing floods that tiny room and although it could never be explained simply, the royalty of living on this side of the rainbow, she does not know always how to neatly gather up the pieces she left behind with them all.
She did not forget them, oh never will she, but she finds she will never re-live with them ever again. And this, this alone brings a single tear to those searching eyes...
