After she was rescued, Allan had avoided her eyes, and she had avoided Guy’s.
Pressing a fist to her beating heart, Marian hurried to her chamber. She threw herself onto the bed, wanting to block out Sheriff’s insults from her mind.
"Interesting outfit... fit for a leper."
Sighing heavily Marian got up and placed a candle on the windowsill. It was a sign for Robin, a reassurance that although she was back at the castle she would never be deviating from the course they had set together: to find Lardner, bring the King home, defeat the Sheriff and get married.
