I went to the Irish fair today with Bob. I got a couple of free tickets from Maggie, my old step dance teacher. The Cleary School (my dance school) is the one that puts on the competitions at the fair. There were a quite a few hot Irish boys who were probably there with their little sisters who were dancing in the competitions.
I spotted Maggie immediately after walking in and she introduced me to Lynn, someone I've been keeping in touch with via email but have never met. I saw other people I knew, but I seriously forgot their names, so I didn't say hi. I doubt they remember mine... or maybe they do...
After watching a few people compete, I walked around with Bob, looking at all the vendors' booths. Imported candy is mondo expensive. I got a shirt that says "Irish Prince." I saw all these "Irish Princess" ones, and I told Bob that if I saw an Irish Prince one that I would get it. And luckily there was. Bob and I also got matching dagger-letter opener dealies. They're really cool and they come with their own sheathes.
We watched The Fenians and Bad Haggis play and also the Pacific Coast Highlander Pipe Band play, some dogs herd sheep, the Polish people and Irish people fencing each other, dressed in period clothing, and some gypsies belly dance. RANDOM.
And then I went home and waited for my dad so I could have dinner with him. Now I'm back here, playing guitar and piano and writing this up.
Altogether, it was pretty good.
