Told you I've been writing:)
A 'Damaged' update is due sometime during the weekend, when it gets back from my beta-reader. In the meantime, though...

Title: Learning to Share
Pairing: Sirius/Remus, baby!Tonks
Rated: PG, tops:)
Summary: A moment in time. Sort of a prequel to If You Wanted Honesty and Better Left Unsaid.
For the prompts: tomorrow is something we remember on 7spells and #86 - Circle on slash_100

Barely two years old, Nymphadora Tonks clapped her hands, stumbling unsteadily after the doll on the soft mattress. Sirius grinned, and raised his wand higher - with a murmur of a spell, the doll sprouted two pearlescent, transparent wings and began flying around the little girl's head to the directive of Sirius' wand, long blond hair trailing down to the hem of its gleaming white dress.

"Pretty!" Dora giggled, tiny hand reaching above and grasping the hem. Putting all her strength into it, she gave it a mighty tug and it tumbled to the ground. At the first touch, the wings disintegrated, but the child barely noticed. Dora grabbed the doll with both hands, hugging it to her chest. With a scrunch of her tiny nose that Sirius absolutely adored, the girl's hair turned from flat, mousy brown to long, golden curls that trailed the floor, exactly like her doll.

"Mine," she snapped, raising one adorable finger in warning. "No touchie!"

Sirius felt the bed dip behind him, and his grin widened. He rolled onto his back, eyes closed. One of his arms reached up, almost of its own accord, and tickled Tonks' instep.

"We should have some, too. Someday."

"While it is pretty, I don't think frilly white is quite your style."

Not bothering to open his eyes, Sirius raised his arm and slapped Remus' head. "Jerk."

Remus laughed, and after a moment the bed shifted again, and the werewolf was sprawled down beside him. Even without looking, Sirius knew exactly what he looked like - light brown hair a mess, eyes shut, neck arched until his Adam's apple stood out like a beacon, calling out without meaning to. His body was still trembling with the aftereffects of the Change, and Sirius clasped one unsteady hand in his.

Even that opening was too heavy for Remus to handle, right now. He was always like this after the full moon at Hogwarts, tired to the point of collapse and wholly unable to execute any form of polite conversation. Spending the Christmas hols with Sirius, even at Romi's, wouldn't have changed a thing.

Sirius leaned up a little, leaning on one elbow over his friend. "All right, Moony?"

"Quite," came the murmured reply, and surprisingly strong fingers slipped into Sirius' hair, tugging him down.

Initiation was good, Sirius knew; Remus initiating contact so soon after the full moon meant he did not feel unworthy of it. He went willingly, pressing his lips to Remus', allowing that tongue inside his mouth. Hand slipping under to cradle Remus' head, Sirius gave into temptation and leaned down to kiss the bobbing Adam's apple, as chastely as possible. Remus groaned and pushed him away.

"Not in front of the children," he said jokingly, flushing.

To Sirius' utter surprise, though, Dora padded over and crawled onto Remus' chest. She puckered up her lips, closed her eyes and leaned down, kissing the tip of Remus' nose.

Sirius couldn't help the surprised laugh that burst forth. It drew the girl's attention and she looked up to him questioningly. Her eyes, blue and glassy like the doll's, reminded him so strongly of Narcissa that he had to shake the memory from his mind.

"Mine?" she queried, tapping Remus' nose distractedly.

"Mine," Sirius corrected, belly warm when Remus blushed.

"But we can play, if you like," Remus added, and the girl engulfed him in a hug.

Sirius stared at them for a moment, feeling somehow isolated. "She's never going to let you go, now," he intoned warningly.

"Oh yes, she is," Remus countered over Dora's squeals, long fingers dancing under the girl's arms, round her tummy, tickling her mercilessly. He paused to let her catch her breath and leaned over her, kissing the frown off Sirius' face. "Even Black children should be taught to share, you know."
