car blues

Poo. So before I mentioned that I was getting my battery replaced, but something weird happened with that and it wasn't always working so I ended up getting another battery and a new starter, since, true to Car Geek Robert's initial assessment, my dad thought the starter was probably too weak because my car is so old ('93). After they fixed that up, IT WAS SO EXCITING. Starting up the engine was ever soo smooooth and fasttt <3. But alas. After a day or two, some strange thing started going on in my engine because whenever I drove, there'd be this really loud clanking noise, which was loudest when the car was idle. And when it wasn't idle, it started freezing up and stopping randomly, starting again, stopping, starting.. it was really quite scary. I was convinced if I drove it anymore the car would explode on me or something (of which my dad said is ridiculous, but STILL). So anyway he took it back to the guy this morning and it's not coming back =\. Apparently there's all this other stuff that needs to be fixed now, and it's just not worth it. My dad just asked for the money we spent on fixing the battery/starter back and let the guy have our car in return. So currently I am carless and will be getting a new car. I'm very sad =(.

In other news, my apps are going nowhere, and I haven't completely finalized my college list. Minus reach schools like UPenn, I'm only really interested in going to Wellesley anyway.. Which in hindsight actually really surprises me. I don't really mind single-sex schools, but I've never been so inclined towards one before (although I did consider Castilleja in my middle school years). Ahhhasdfa;lj GOD. I LOVE Wellesley. Words cannot describe. But yes, back to apps. I have two essays that I started but can't finish, and it's very frustrating.. I hope I can get over this writers' block soon.

Oh yes. Now I have a new cell phone, too. No more Nokia for me.. Hello, Samsung (both were free with the family plans, of course). Goodness, all these changes in one day..
