太子妃升职记
Been busy watching the current super popular chinese drama 《太子妃升职记》 （Go Princess Go) for the last 2 weeks.
It's a totally hilarious show that tells the story of how a playboy accidentally travels back in time to the past and becomes the crown prince's wife. She (he) has to learn how to live as woman in the past while trying to defend himself from the assasination attempts and sexual advances of the crown prince.
在这当中，除了帅帅酷酷的太子齐晟和美美的女汉子张芃芃，mayu最爱的还有九王和绿王。
好吧，说真的我觉得我们小九为了芃哥做的一切都真的很不值。
虽说小九的结果都是自己的选择造成的，芃哥确实是负了我们小九啊。
小九，你就乖乖和扬严过日子吧~
总共35集，带两个结局，不论是哪个结局都让人很无语。
导演还是在被总粉丝们打死之前快点开拍太子妃升职记2吧~~
Japanese Cabbage Rolls
Made Japanese style cabbage rolls last week again.
But instead of using cabbage, I actually used lettuce because personally I like lettuce much more.
It's actually pretty fun to roll the minced meat in the lettuce. But the minced meat can definitely be improved if mayu is given more time to prepare, marinate and mix them.
And maybe in mayu's next try, mayu can try to cook them in tomato sauce instead of oden style.
Chilled at Starkers
Went Starkers again with Immy, but invited miya along this time.
Starkers is by far still mayu's favourite when it comes to beer. Maybe it's the idea that they change the beer mug every now and then so that the beer remains refreshingly cold, but Starkers beer just tastes so good.
So yes, mayu is gaining a reputation for drinking. And maybe it's age or something, mayu getting tipsy more easily now. TwT
So much for getting old.
Watanabe Coffee
Honey toast, along with Korean Bingsu has been getting quite popular in Singapore since a few months ago.
So far, mayu has tried only Honey Toast from Dazzling Cafe.
This week, mayu got to try the Matcha Honey Toast from Watanabe Coffee.
Watanabe Coffee itself looked really nice, with wooden interiors and slightly dim lighting. The entire place sort of feels like it's from the pre-war era of Japan when western influences had begun to seep in to Japan and coffee was still one of those expensive products that only the rich can afford.
They are much bigger than their sister outlet Wa Cafe at China Town Point and definitely feels more atas too, even serving a collection of wines.
But since mayu is there for work discussion with her boss and GM, we settled for tea and Matcha Honey Toast.
It looked really nice and pretty.
But then that's all to it. lol
So yeah it was slightly disappointing, but then again, maybe that's what Honey Toasts are about.
They look pretty but they are actually just toast and icecream. To date, mayu haven't eaten a honey toast that has completely blown her away. But well, there's the Taipei trip in August so maybe mayu and han can drop by the original Dazzling Cafe to try their version of Honey Toast.
