SO GLAD YOU ARE ALRIGHT. <33333

I hope your friend manages to find her lodging! I saw a picture of people jammed at the Ikebukuro station at someone else's journal. So freakin' crazy. She somehow got home in about 2+ hours back to Shibuya. :\

Soooo glad you guys are alright! T.T

sorry for the late reply... i have been so busy for the last two days.
Yes, fortunately for my cousin, her sensei emailed her and told her to return to her university which had become a 避難所. She stayed there for the night and managed to get home the next morning when the trains started running again.
We are all alright now because our areas are fortunately not that badly hit. But the news on the TV is heartbreaking. And the nuclear thingie is getting really freaky. >_

thank you!!
I'm glad your sister is ok too. I was so worried for her coz i wasn't sure where she was staying, i only knew she was staying in the 東北 area.
The quake in my area is very mild compared to the rest of Japan, just that the tsunami warning was quite bad because we are right along the coast. But i think things should be alright now.
The only worry we have now is regarding the nuclear reactor in Fukujima....

eh.... actually i have no real idea how the airports are doing right now?

I checked yahoo news and the websites of the airports and it seems that the all airports except for Sendai (which is still flooded >_<) have started working again and most flights seem to be okay except for those flying to the touhoku area.

But now with the nuclear reactor thingie, i'm not sure if there would be any changes (since we would be flying over touhoku?)

anyway, her flight is on the 15th, so there's still a bit of time....

I thought you're already back in Singapore. Good thing you're really back to Singapore safe and sound. Did you managed to contact all your friends in Japan? How is the nuclear plant? I heard the food surrounding it are contaminated. Hope they're all well too.

haha thanks.
I disappeared for a few days coz i was busy packing. I touched down in SG on thursday morning. XD

and yup, i did manage to contact all my friends and fortunately most of them live in the tokyo, hokkaido or kyushuu area so they are not badly affected. Only one friend lives in fukushima ken but luckily her place is not too badly affected either and she will be coming back this weekend.

about the nuclear plant, i have no idea how it has become since i came back actually. >_< but when i was transiting in tokyo, i did notice that many people were wearing hats and masks and basically trying not to expose any skin to avoid long term exposure to radiation. And i think there will no doubt be contamination of food in the area. It's really gonna be tough for Japan to recover esp with its economy being so fragile before the earthquake happened....

but i guess there is really nothing much we can do over here but to donate what we can to help them?
