COMPLETED REQUEST POST:
Phew! Been very, very busy over the past few weeks with work/study, so this is all going to be a little unorthodox in terms of order, so just bear with me - please let me know if you have any problems whatsoever with anything here, and I'll see what I can do ;).
Also, something very important: please let me know if you'd

In a couple of weeks - woot! Although, to cap things off for being away for so long, I'm going on holidays. :( While ordinarily I'd be whooping my butt off at the prospect, I'd rather spend my time catching up here! Miss this place far, far too much!
omgyes, House marathon all the way, we are gonna burn through those episodes like nobodies business, mhmm ;)
LOL - Oh, can you imagine? I'm thrilled at the very idea - finally someone who I can say: 'Did you ever notice how the Channel Ten newsreader (Mal Walden, to be exact) was wearing that exact same dress jacket as Hugh is Friday night?!' without looking like a freak. Still doesn't mean I'm not a freak, mind you... (ponders)
Oh man, SACs out the freakin wazoo! I think you'll be able to hear my sigh of relief after the GAT on Thursday, all the way where you are! Can you believe that I want to spend the rest of my life in a school? Crazy, huh?
I hope you ace them all :D. You're probably already aware that the GAT isn't a huge deal to do particularly well on - it's basically just a fallback if you fall off a cliff or get rabies or something. LOL. And I guess there's really no preparation you can actually have for the thing, so relax and you'll be just fine ;).
Have you noticed that the ads make House sound very creepy? Like "what does she have that he desperately wants?" Sounds quite wrong! lol
Oh god, YES. That's yet another thing that's really irking me about Ten - Insensitive (as far as I'm aware) is set on Valentine's day, House is off chasing Cuddy, Cameron's propositioning Chase - what happened to the quirky promos used for eps like Love Hurts? Every promo is exactly the same these days - and it's showing in the ratings. House is getting completely whomped by Heroes, Spicks and Specks and the Chaser.
To make matters worse, Ten completely spoiled the episode for us again - they did the same with Merry Little Christmas (Wilson jumping over the couch to find an ODd House) - and now with this. If you read the blurb in any TV guide, the premise is given away... the girl can't feel any pain. I've really got to ring Ten, but I'm just too chicken. Heck, I've been too chicken this week to ring Kellogg's and tell them they didn't put any apricot in my Just Right! :P

Oh, I am on LJ way too much, more than is healthy! lol. I'm meant to be going away for a few days with some friends to Sorento in the holidays, it'll be good to relax for a bit. I hope you enjoy that holiday hun, you deserve it!
'Did you ever notice how the Channel Ten newsreader (Mal Walden, to be exact) was wearing that exact same dress jacket as Hugh is Friday night?!'
Haha, Mal Walden is the bomb. I was watching the news one night and he was throwing to a break with the whole 'coming up next' but he mucked it up so he was like "Oh, I don't know, something about a dog" lmao, it was very funny

Lol, yeah, I did the GAT last year as well (because I was doing two year 12 subjects) and it's so ridiculously easy, it's just the fact that it goes for three frakin hours! But I also have three mid year exams to do as well (two on Tuesday, one on Wednesday morning) so I'll be so out of it by the time Friday rolls around.

They're getting as bad as the US promos, where every episode is "House's most shocking case ever!"
And you really have to avoid tv guides and the like, because they give away too much. I read TV Week and as someone who's watched the episode already, I'll think "Wow, they've pretty much ruined the surprise for the viewer, jerks"
Wednesday @ 8:30 is soooo bad programming wise. And have you seen the programming for Sundays @ 8:30? There are at least three shows that I want to watch at that time (Life On Mars, Rove and Big Love) plus I've had to drop Grey's Anatomy because I missed too much. This is why I download shows!
Heck, I've been too chicken this week to ring Kellogg's and tell them they didn't put any apricot in my Just Right! :P
Hehe, how dare they?!?

It's far too addictive, isn't it? Sorento? Sounds like so much fun! I'm off in the opposite direction - to see my grandparents again. Along the NSW coast, which should be lovely!

LOL. Yes, I love him too - best newsreader on the box. I love how you can just tell that he couldn't give a crap about one of the news stories (usually one involving celebrities) he's been forced to read. Go Mal! Or the little ribs he gives Stephen Quartermain. Hee. It's so great to see a newsreader who doesn't over dramatize everything. The one person I can't stand on the ten crew is the weather reporter. Some of the lamest jokes I've ever heard, it makes me want to jump off the Rialto. (by the way, I love how I can insert all of these little references to the state knowing you'll understand what I'm talking about!)

Oh, completely forgot about that, LOL. You know, a few people actually just walked out of the building when I had to sit it. I can't say I blame them!

YES. It's terrible. Needle In A Haystack's promo was one of the worst yet. I thought the girl he was getting lucky with was a twenty something hooker, the way the voice over had sounded. They could have done so much with the House side story.

Oh, I completely agree. Heroes, Cold Case, House, Spicks and Specks, Medium... too many shows packed into the same night, it's insane.

Sundays are just as dreadful! I saw your post about Life On Mars (and the ltitle write up in the Sun) and thought I'd give it a go. But of course, Mika was on Rove Sunday, and I didn't want to miss it... by the way, did you see Rove this week? How sexy was he in that little black dress and red heels? It's... frightening!
(too much to catch up with you on!)

Hehe, I know. He's one of the reasons I prefer the Ten news to the other channels (plus, I like that it goes for an hour, I love my news)

Oh, ITA. So sad, some of those jokes you just shake your head and think "Who thought that was actually funny?"

Lol, me too! Like I can say that I'm going to Sorento and you're like "Yep, I know where that it" Or that you know who Mal Walden is!

Oh, Life On Mars is very good. If the Season 1 DVDs are out by the end of the year, I'll have to pick them up and watch them with you (after the House marathon, of course!) It's an interesting concept and I just love John Simm (who'll be in Doctor Who this series!) and Philip Glenister. Awesome music too :D
I watched Mika perform after LOM was finished, he's such a cutie. Plus, what's his accent? Sounds like a bit of everything
Haha, I saw that and I was like "Wow, his legs look much better than mine!" Great set of pins Rove!
*phew* Everytime I think I'll get off the computer, I get another comment from you that I have to reply to! lol

Oh, definitely. I love how there's more time with ten - it means that you get to hear more about those quirky news stories. (did you see the Japanese woman with the bullet still lodged in her brain?) I'm an absolute geek for them.

There's been times when I've wanted to throw the plate of pasta I've cooked at him. You can almost hear the crickets chirping and the see the tumbleweed float across the screen...

I didn't have time to mention - I did actually catch one episode. In bits, because I was hanging out to see Hamish and Andy naked... LOL. Did you see their streak, by the way? Like Dave Hughes said, I think I can see what Megan Gale's hanging around for. LOL.
Back to Life on Mars - (I haven't picked up enough on the show to be familiar with the characters names) I just got to see the main character introduce the idea of witness protection and have a fist fight with his commanding officer in the patient's room. And the poker game at the end, which was a nice touch. Although I did laugh at the guy who elbowed him and left the table... It makes me giggle how he just couldn't come out and say 'I don't like you.'

He's got a great accent, hasn't he? Well apparently, he moved to England from Lebanon when he was nine. Guess that explains it. And his real name's Michael!
Haha, I saw that and I was like "Wow, his legs look much better than mine!" Great set of pins Rove!z
I know! And he's been working out, he looks very fit! Go the biceps!
I think I could talk to you all afternoon - lucky I have day off to get commenting! ;)

No, but that's facinating! Reminds me of a case we learnt about in Psych where a guy years and years ago had a steel rod lodged in his head that caused him to go through a personality change, due to damage to an area of his brain. Really interesting.

No, I didn't! I'm disappointed I missed it though. I did see that episode on Mother's Day when they got their mothers to do stuff, like proposition men on the street. Very funny, lol

I loved that fist fight :P

He sure does ;) Hmm, I like Mika better lol

We can't resist men with great biceps! *cough*Hugh Laurie*cough*
Hope you enjoyed your day off! :D
