People come and go so quickly here.
1. darlong left this afternoon to take her brother back to Halifax. We found after she already left for the airport that there was a problem with her hotel reservation for tonight, so I hope she's not wandering the streets of Halifax looking for someplace to lay her little head.
2. sparky77 is arriving tomorrow. Her room is (semi)clean and spiffed up. Linens and curtains rewashed, floor vacuumed, pillows
fluffed. Welcome back, Q!
3. I leave for Alberta and cajoje on Friday afternoon. I always want to overpack: it's only five days, you know? But I need a hat to keep the sun off me that I can stow in a suitcase and not have it coming out again looking like a crinkled up newspaper. I'll see what they have at Zellers tomorrow.
4. sffan is coming on Friday to visit over the weekend. I think this is the first visit that I won't be here for. It feels . . . weird.
5. darlong will be coming home on Friday, too. She should be arriving home just about the time my plane takes off. Passing in the night. Or the late afternoon, anyway.
6. I come back on Tuesday.
7. I don't think that Dar and Con were a mile down the road before I was in the guestroom stripping the beds and dragging out the vacuum. Tomorrow I put it all back together. And may I say that the cats are thrilled to have their clubhouse back, too.
