I need to switch to a system that's easy for updates while i am away in the future...

Anyone tried comicpress 2.9?

if you dont need a blog or comments then I'd suggest comic gallery. when you get it set up just upload the comics into the folder and it'll auto create the links and update the archive.

The new comicpress is pretty good. I didn't like it before because of the style limitations and the fact that you have to name your files by date. But now you can choose what day you want it to update on, and it'll automatically rename it. It also has external themes so if you change anything about how it looks, it won't reset when you update wordpress. I haven't installed it on my comics yet, but I used it on some other sites.
