Well, darn.
Got my River Song Texas Tuxedo costume mostly done in time for TimeGate (THIS WEEKEND!) except for the boots. Somehow I just really thought I'd be able to find some cheap western style boots or shoes at Goodwill, or at one of the many shoe stores around in a pinch. Nope.
Oh, there are cowboy boots a-plenty, if I were willing and able to pay minimum of $100 for an item I will never wear in regular life.
Too late to buy online and have them shipped here by the weekend, so I shall have to improvise. Whatever I come up with can't look funnier than the glow-in-the-dark flip flops I ended up wearing with my Donna Unicorn and the Wasp dress after the pretty shoes nearly killed me, so I do have precedent.
In other news, a huge chunk of one of my molars just kind of crumbled to pieces. It hurts and is going to cost a fortune. I shall now proceed to be grumpy for the foreseeable future.
