Yeah, I think it's all that. I've been out of school for two years so I think it's just gotten worse with me. I was hoping to be in school by this fall but it looks like it's not gonna happen that way because I didn't file my papers and stuff on time. :( Oh well.
That story kinda cracks me up though. My stepmom just keeps telling me that because she says I act like her sometimes and she has to take adderall. I just would rather not be medicated. I mean, it would be cool to be able to do stuff like that but that stuff's like speed man and it's addictive. So I'd be scared to actually try it.
Yeah, I don't watch TV either. All the Doctor Who I've seen I've watched online. I either do that or wait until the DVDs come out and buy those. There's nothing wrong with not reading if it doesn't interest you or whatever, but I find it kinda messed up that it seems like there a big group of people down here who are my age who almost can't read because they've been through schools with waaay lowered standards and have been let off the hook about reading since they were supposed to learn how. But that is a whole huge discussion right there man.
Oh shit! Paperwork always gets you in the end, it's true.
I'm not a drug person, too. (Not like drug-drugs, medicine-drugs.) It's just like, I want to control my body, and know what's going on in there.
Yeah, that's what I mean by TV. I just mean moving pictures in general. I'd rather lose myself in a comic or article or blog or something. I do love films, though, mmmm films.
Yes it certainly does. One good thing that comes out of that though is that I may be going to North Carolina for a couple weeks since I won't be in school. :)
Films are wonderful. Back when I lived with my parents and had cable TV there would be whole weeks where I would do nothing but look for and watch the craziest shit I could find. I loved the Independent Film Channel. I used to want to write/direct movies, and was even planning on going to school for it, but then I sort of changed my mind along the way somewhere. I'd still like to write one someday though.
I've always wanted IFC! I hear such things about it! My parents do get Turner Classic Movies, which are good. I love renting stuff from the two rental places around my school. Just pulling something off the shelf and being like "OKAY." Don't read the backs, though, reading the backs gives everything away. You have to judge by cover, actors and directors alone. Yum yum.
Yeah, I've always been interested in the idea of films, but I know my mind just does not work in a moving way. My ideas are static, hurr hurr. I'm stuck with still things. But I'd like to team up with film people someday and make something great. (That...isn't a proposal... I'm just sayin'...)
But, I don't know, maybe some time in my art school career I'll try to force in a video class. There's this professor here, Doug Sadler, who is like... totally awesome. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0755531/ He's got great hair and me an' my friend's would go to the screenings of films they have here for free, and his film Swimmers was one and then his class screened all of their work too, so we got to see him speak about stuff and we were all gooey on the floor. I just want to be his friiiiiend...
