So what's up with Jim?

Been sort of busy lately changing my life around. I figure now that the ink is dry on all the contracts, I should announce and let people know what's up with me.

I quit my day job at JPL. This is my last full-time week. Gonna go a month at half time.

What I'm going to be doing instead is running several companies I've started and acquired, and doing it out of my house (and a small office in Silverlake).

1) Speedy Puppy Internet
http://www.speedypuppy.net
That's the low-cost hosting company I've been building for a
number of years. It hosts a bunch of other people/things you know.

2) E-Haus
http://www.e-haus.com
That's a higher-end internet design, consulting services and
marketing firm. It's one of the ones I bought. Systems design,
web design, application development, you name it -- i've got the
right people to do it. Sometimes it's me, sometimes it's people
I bring in who are better than me. I build whatever the right
team for the job is.

3) SSR Sound System Rentals
http://www.ssrrentals.com
This is a good sized sound and lighting company that mostly rents
for parties, DJs, concerts, speaking engagements, etc. I've got
small stuff, medium stuff, and big stuff enough to do a 30,000
watt live band stage. Plus I've got live sound engineers,
recording engineers, and DJs.

I've got other people working for me as contractors for all these... good people. It's a nice place to be.

So ya know... if you know people who need internet services, systems consulting, or sound equipment in the LA area, drop me a line!
