Just before Chinen and Ryutaro started walking home, Yamada called Ryutaro unexpectedly...
"Hai? Yama-chan?", Ryutaro answered
"Ryu-chan...are you busy right now? I need to talk to you...", Yamada asked
"Um...Sure, i'll meet you at the library front in 5 minutes--"
"I'm already here"
"Eh--"
"I know you'd say the library...your to predictable Ryu-chan", Yamada giggled, before bidding Ryutaro goodbye
"Chinen, sorry but I need to meet up with Yamada at the Library, i'll just text you later ok--"
"I'll wait at my, house...can I sleepover at your house?", Chinen asked innocently
"U-Uh, Y-Yeah..sure..there n-no harm in that at all, i'll pick you up at 7 then, we'll just walk there so that we can check out the vet, i heard they had new dogs and hamsters", Ryutaro smiled, patting Chinen on the head before walking to meet with Yamada.

Ryutaro finally arrived at the Library and found Yamada sitting at the nearby bench, he didn't seem so happy and at the same time, he looked worried...
"Yama-chan..How are you?", Ryutaro asked, before hugging Yamada...well tried to not before Yamada seemed as if he didn't want a hug
"Whats up?", Ryutaro asked casually
"Mmm...I'm going to Osaka..", Yamada spoke nervously
"..W-What?", Ryutaro asked, not wanting to accept the fact that he had to be alone with Chinen majority of his days
"I promised my cousin that if anything goes wrong back home, she'd call me...a promise is a promise Ryutaro..", Yamada said grabbing a hold of Ryutaro's hand that felt cold as ice
"...and what IS the problem?", Ryutaro asked
"My aunt is dying...", Yamada said...he tried holding back his tears but it just came pouring out and thats when Ryutaro couldn't help but hug the older boy tight
"I...I told the principal that...I...I'm leaving as soon as my flight arrives and thats tomorrow afternoon...The principal said I can take as long as I like...I'll be gone for 2 or 3 months..please take care of Chinen..and yourself...", Yamada sobbed more as he felt Ryutaro tighten his hug
"I...Love you...Yamada..", Ryutaro said, but...was that true?
"I...", Yamada thought, "Sure you do..", Yamada answered back, making Ryutaro feel as if Yamada knows of his crush for Chinen
"Just remember me always ok?", Yamada asked
"Of course Yama-chan...i'll always remember my strawberry loving boyfriend", Ryutaro said, making Yamada giggle

Chinen and Ryutaro were both walking down the sidewalk, they thought they'd skip the vet visit since they heard that there were some aligators that are their "Special Animal For Sale" day.
"Here we are!", Ryutaro exclaimed happily
"W-Wow, your house is h-huge!", Chinen said loudly, taking a long look at the mansion-like house in front of him
"Lets go inside, my parents aren't hope, but they know your here", Ryutaro said surely
"You want some tea?", Ryutaro asked
"huh? Oh yeah sure, Thank you", Chinen said, before taking a long look around their living room and reached all the way upstairs to the balcony which he thought was a beautiful place to be especially during night time
"Here you go Ch--Chinen? Chinen??", Ryutaro put down both glasses and went searching around the house, it was quiet so obviously he panicked, but stopped when he saw Chinen looking at the stars, looking at them longingly and silently as if they are talking to him...
"Beautiful...isn't it?", Ryutaro asked, walking over to Chinen
"Very...I wish I could live in a place just like this when I grow up!", Chinen exclaimed happily, closing his eyes to feel the cool breeze that embraced his body, while Ryutaro observed the smaller boy, 'He's so full of happiness', Ryutaro thought
"Ne...Ryutaro...Can we sleep now? I'm getting sleepy..", Chinen said shyly, thinking that it was a weird question to ask
"Sure, but you should wash up first, i'll wash up in my parents bathroom, you use mine ok?", Ryutaro said, walking downstairs only to be stopped by Chinen's voice
"Ne! Ryutaro...thank you..", Chinen said, leaning against the staircase
"Eh? For what?", Ryutaro asked
"Nothing...for...everything I guess..", Chinen smiled, walking back upstairs to wash up

Chinen layed on Ryutaro's bed, while Ryutaro slept on the floor, but it seems Chinen couldn't sleep knowing that its Ryutaro's bed he's on and Ryutaro's on the floor...
"Hmm..Chinen?", Ryutaro opened his eyes to see Chinen cuddle up to him unexpectedly
"It's not fair...its your bed..why should I stay on it?", Chinen said snobbishly, closing his eyes once again and quickly fell asleep knowing his in good hands

Chinen woke up alone, he slowly opened his eyes and inspected the room. He noticed the bathroom door was wide open, and he saw something that made him blush furiously...Ryutaro in just a towel wrapped around his waist, his hair wet, "Ohayo Chinen..", Ryutaro unexpectedly said, a smirk slowly forming on his mouth, "A-Ah! Gomen!! I-I just woke up I swear!", Chinen said loudly, "It's fine", Ryutaro said, closing the door for a few seconds and came out wearing a shirt and some shorts
"Guess I should've warned you before taking a shower huh?", Ryutaro asked, while Chinen looked down in shame
"Hey, listen its ok..it wasn't intentional anyways..", Ryutaro smiled, before he grabbed Chinen's phone and shoved it towards the smaller boy who looked at him in confusion
"You should...call Yuto..or atleast try to call him...he must be worried about you not contacting him", Ryutaro said, "I'll be up soon, I just need to feed my dog Chii", Ryutaro walked downstairs leaving Chinen alone in his room, who then looked at his cellphone in confusion once again, before dialing Yuto's number...
"Hey Chii! How are you?", Yuto answered
"Ah, Yuto..I'm doing fine as always...just sad your not here with me..", Chinen said in a sad tone
"Oh, where are you by the way, I called your mom and said you slept over at Ryutaro's house?", Yuto asked, making Chinen suddenly panic
"Huh? Oh! No! I'm at home with Takaki, my cousin, you remember him right?", Chinen lied
"Ah, him, yeah I remember him...can I talk to him?", Yuto asked
"Hm?? Why? He's sleep..he doesn't want to wake up...he had a crazy party with his high school friends last night..listen Yuto, I better be going now, gotta get ready, going to the movies--"
"Alone?"
"Huh? No..Ryutaro is going to treat me, um...he lost a bet during school so he promised me he'd take me to the movies as a punishment", Chinen laughed, "Well gotta go! Bye Yuu-chan!! Miss you--", just before Chinen was going to say "I Love You", he felt bad when Yuto immediately hung up, without even saying goodbye
"Hey Chii, i'm back--"
"I gotta go..", Chinen said, grabbing his things and started walking
"W-Wha--? Chinen!", Ryutaro called out, before running toward the boy and grabbed his hand
"What!?", Chinen answered back harshly, tears starting to run down his cheeks
"What did I do now!?", Ryutaro shouted back, "What did I ever do to make you hate me!?...What--"
"I hate you cause you made me love you!", Chinen shouted, making Ryutaro speechless from his friends words
"Eversince i've met you during that one day when we were young...I couldn't get you out of my head!...It annoyed me, but I was glad I met a person like you...so kind..and sweet...and caring as well. But when I met Yuto, I totally forgot about you...and now..", Chinen cried...harder and harder...
"Chinen--", Ryutaro tried saying but quickly got cut off by the younger boy...
"Now...You came back...why did you ever have to come back and mess up my love life with Yuto!? I wish you never even entered my life in the first place!!", Chinen shouted once more, before snatching his arm out of Ryutaro's grip...'Why did you let him go?', Ryutaro thought

Ryutaro went back to his bedroom, and sat on his computer chair, the words of his friend still rings perfectly in his head...He looked at the photo that was present near his neatly folded clothes on the drawer, he stood up and went toward it. He picked it up and saw a picture of Yamada and him from their first date, "Why won't everyday end up with a smile?", Ryutaro asked himself as he felt a hot tear run down his pale cheeks, he had never cried in his whole life when it comes to friends, but...now...now he understood Chinen perfectly, "Why haven't you noticed?", Ryutaro asked himself...
"Soo this is what happens when my Chii is heartbroken.."
"Eh--? Eh!? Yuya.."
"Chii-kun has quite a fragile heart don't you think?", Ryutaro nodded
"Well...what are you gonna do now? Give up?", Takaki asked before comfortably taking a seat on the edge of Ryutaro's bed
"I..I guess--"
"Your not going to give up", Takaki said plainly, laying down on Ryutaro's bed as if it was his
"W-What?", Ryuataro asked
"You won't give up...because I don't want Chinen's heart to break..and I surely won't be the reason anymore if that happend to him again", Takaki said with a smirk on his face, 'again?'

Chinen walked up to his bedroom mad that day, he cursed under his breathe about his cousin not letting him play with Ryutaro at the park anymore because he thinks he's a 'bad influence'. Chinen thought it was stupid to scream and whine onto a pillow that night but he couldn't help it, he was 10, a stage wherein your young and foolish..
"Chinen...", Takaki said calmingly at the door to Chinen's room
"Go away!", Chinen shouted throwing his pillow at the door
"...Look...Chii...i'm sorry, i'll promise to bring you the park tomorrow...ok? You can meet him by then.."
"....Really?", Chinen said, a spark of hope visible in the tone of his soft young voice
"..Yes..lets leave same time. 4:30...ok?", Takaki asked
"Hai! I Love you Yuyan!! Oyasumi!!", Chinen said happily, eventhough they were talking separated by a door, Takaki can clearly imagine Chinen glomping him until he can no longer breathe
The next day arrived and Chinen was excited...He sat on the swing that time..he was surrounded by lots of kids who seemed like they had lots of friends...Chinen was alone, he was how you say 'anti-social' at that time, but Ryutaro, that boy, something was there, something was present in his smile that made Chinen want to eagerly talk to him...and so he waited, and waited...and waited.
"Chinen...I don't think he'll come today...lets just go home..ne?", Takaki asked, looking down at the Chinen who was still on the swing
"...No...I want to wait for him and ask his name...I want to know who he is..", Chinen said, not daring to look up at Takaki
"Chii, it's already 7:29, i doubt he'll come here anymore..", Takaki said, placing his hand out for the other boy to grab, in which he did
"...Sorry, I couldn't let you go see him yesterday...I was just mad..", Takaki said while walking home hand-in-hand with Chinen who was silent majority of the time walking home
"...It'll be hard to forgive Yuyan...", Chinen said, keeping his head low, while Takaki sighed, he wished he could just repeat that day and make Chinen happy. He cared for Chinen in no other way a cousin would act, he was one Chinen could talk to, he was one who would be there majority of the time...but that one day, Takaki could never get out of his head...
