40 weeks, 2 days
Had a nice due date on Saturday. Lars helped me with some cleaning and shopping and we took Teddy to the playground. The warm weather was a nice change compared to the recent snow.
Had my last appointment this morning. They did an ultrasound to check amniotic fluid levels, then a non-stress test to monitor contractions, baby movements, and heart rate. Everything looks good. Also, I'm finally dilated to a 3 or 3.5. They did another membrane sweep (did one last appointment also). Feeling some extra pressure and a few contractions, but nothing has really started up yet. I'm scheduled for an induction next Monday if she doesn't come before that. They said they can try breaking the waters first before trying pitocin, which is good. Having the water break worked great with Teddy (part way on its own and then the doctors broke it the rest of the way). Sometimes I feel like I'm never going to go into labor and then other times I feel so much pressure I'm afraid I won't make it to the hospital once the contractions start. Hopefully it will be somewhere in between.
