Happy new year! I guess I'm due for an update. Things are going well with the pregnancy. I'm about 32.5 weeks. We finally picked out a name for our baby girl-Amelia Iris Cade (Amy for short). This time around I'm feeling pressure similar to how I felt about a week before Teddy came. I asked the doctor and she said it's normal for a second baby

HI! I've been needing to write a post, too. Love the name. Have the same frustrations about healthcare right now. Oregon has its own website, but the deadline for coverage starting today is long past and the online application is still not available. There was a paper version but I didn't know about the postmark deadline until after it had past, and I didn't realize until afterwards that the application was needed whether or not you were applying for aid. I still can't find information about the deadline to get coverage before incurring the fine, but at this point, I've pretty much given up due to the frustration-induced stress. It would have been nice to get some coverage after years of being uninsured since I really would like to seek medical advice regarding the severity of my menstrual symptoms, but I guess it'll have to wait.

We gave up cable for Netflix a while back and I don't miss it (except for having to find somewhere to keep up with Doctor Who). I've found that coupons only help if you buy the brand labels anyway; I don't bother with them as a result, though I know it works for some. I go to the cheapest grocery store in town, stick to the bulk food section as much as possible, buy the store brands, and I make vegetarian meals to cut down on the cost of dinner.

I'm assuming with all the issues signing up for healthcare they will end of waiving the fine the first year or two. If not you could certainly push on having to pay it since you tried to comply. The system needs to work before they can fine you for not using it. I'm sure plenty of people will make a stink as it comes due, or it'll be waived by the gov't before that point.
