1. If you could use a time machine but had to choose to either go backwards in time or forwards in time, but couldn't choose both, what would your choice be? What time period?
The 90s. Pre-9/11 bullshit. When the Disney channel was good. When climate change wasn't hitting us quite as hard as it is now. And then I'd steal Michael Pollan's thunder, and insert some gender and class oppression intersection with food, the way Vandana Shiva did. I'd address all the things that he got called out on for failing to address. And my book would be better and more inclusive, while still maintaining the message.
2. Your profile says you're a-livin' in Virginia. What is it like living there? Have you had mostly good experiences with your surrounding area and its people or bad?
Virginia's not bad, and keep in mind, I'm in the suburbs of DC. So I like it here. Our governor and attorney general suck though.
3. Do you talk on the cellphone when you drive? Do you text?
I talk, but texting? How exactly do you text while driving? What in the actual fuck?
4. What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever done?
I burst into tears because a Brit who himself sucked at his French classes told me that ALL Americans suck at French and I was like, "No! My French is A-OK, I don't butcher it!" I was 20
5. I'm going to recycle on I was given. What are you proudest of, about yourself?
I like the fact that I'm not afraid to break social norms in order to call out whatever injustice I see. I like that I'm able to see overlap between issues even as others see the issues as directly at odds with each other. And I've been published here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. Although the first comment in the last link? WTF? Fuck off, lady, you yourself probably had a fake from age 16.
