Catching up
I've been swamped with emails just about every day. So I'll be fairly brief.
GM was amazing. vierkilau ran a kickass mage game and I'm super excited to see what happens in the next 6 months. I was happy to see so many of the people I love playing with making it down.
The pub crawl was a huge hit, we had twenty-something people along the whole time, and we even stayed in character most of the time.
Fox's Canadian party was also a huge hit, probably the best party of the con. I may be biased, since it was the only one I went to.
Cafe du Monde is now a full tradition in the mage venue, we managed to get enough of us together to pull off a great IC and OC get together. Watching certain Canadians experience beignets for the first time was comedy gold.
A big thank you to nycciangel for Requiem. I've largely lost my interest in the venue, and that hasn't changed, but Nycci's Friday night Requiem game proved to be an amazing and heartwarming/breaking final conclusion to Miria's story. I didn't go into it for closure, or expected it, but it happened, a real and perfect resolution to what was such an idiotic and inappropriate character death over two years ago. While I had put it behind me for a while now, I've never agreed that what happened was right. The game practically had me in tears for real. Not quite sure who ended up with her painting. :P
House stuff is ongoing, still some boxes left over. Things are shaping up well, we've gotten all our furniture including a new bed. Justin got a mower and we've started planting some herbs. We've also been considering planting some citrus next month.
