Hm. I'd really like to go to the Chikalb event this year... Justin's even going to be in Chicago the Monday after for a few days on a nursing conference. Hospital paid for his ticket and hotel, but if I want to fly, 280+ a checked bag is too expensive. It's kind of like a mini con they do in Great Lakes hosted by Chicago and de Kalb They're running a big mage game and some other venues. I wouldn't be going for the plots but a lot of cool people I know are going so... that's the draw. I've heard it tends to be epic.

I dunno about Alex, but my car has about 60 K on it. It's actually in pretty good shape, and the distance isn't over 2000 miles last I checked. I did a similar drive last year with Luke without problems, so I'm hoping if I somehow manage this it would be the same.
