You are not a monster.

The season has sailed past us and the wind that carried it away has turned much colder now
the squirrels have been busy storing away their acorns
and I too have been storing away a few little nuts here and there

Don't think I have forgotten just because I haven't written about it yet.

I feel as if I haven't stood still for even a second this whole summer
its been busy busy busy.
but when I take the time to think back on it I feel as if I haven't done anything at all.
I suppose it's the little things we must remember
and if I think of all the little gold nuggets I had during the last few sunny months
and put them together
I could have enough gold to tempt Jack to grow a beanstock for a shot at taking 'em.
I've been touring the country side, I had a few train rides to places I've never been, fed a few swans, slow danced in kitchens when no one was around, grinded in bars, had drinks on the house, in the house and out of the house, I made new aquaintances, seen a lot of old ones, had a musical jam session without ruddy cheeks, spent far too much money, ate out a lot, and I've said a lot of goodbyes.

and now I'm going to say goodbye to you, but only for awhile
I'll be back when your feet get cold
and the weather isn't quite so fair
and your other friends have left you.

Take care all of you.
