Fanfic inspired venting
I have finally practically moved house. I just have some bits and bobs left. But more of that later, now I want to vent.
Do you guys ever find a fanfic that you find interesting and gripping, yet contains things that profoundly disturb you? You keep on reading because you want to see how it turns out, all the while feeling deeply uncomfortable?

I like the Morgan/Reid dynamic, but I like almost all the dynamics in the show, but on a friendly platonic level. That is why I really like Gen CM fics. I love reading interactions between the characters.
I loved Reid/Mauve, but there are hardly any fics around where she survives and they live happily ever after! Reid/Prentiss is interesting, but ultimately needs a lot of suspension of disbelief. I actually prefer Reid/OC.
I generally feel very uncomfortable with A/B/O tropes because people are a lot more complex than that. Whether someone is dominant or submissive will often depend on circumstances and the other people they are interacting. I would actually say Reid and JJ are betas. I would say almost everyone is a beta! Reid is not a dominant personality in that he doesn't often take charge, but he is strong willed and will do his own thing more often than submit easily to orders. JJ is very obviously also a strong personality who can take charge, but she again doesn't really order people around as much as act as their equal.
