In my previous original art posts I shared my sketches of
Lincoln's Inn Fields in Holborn,
Charring Cross Road near Soho and
Covent Garden. This is another from my series of summer city sketches. This time I was comfortable seated at a table on the roof terrace of the Royal National Theatre in the sun, a little know quiet oasis in the hubbub of the Southbank in the summer.
The Royal National Theatre is one of the most well known and easily recognisable buildings of the Southbank complex. It was designed by architects Sir Denys Lasdun and Peter Softley and structural engineers Flint & Neill and contains three stages, which opened individually between 1976 and 1977.
Yet again I used my much loved
Rotring Sketch ArtPen and my newly acquired
Derwent Graphitint Watercolour Pencils with the always useful
Pentel Aquash Brush.
This is one of the sketches I had printed as a greeting card to include in my etsy shop.
