Teen Wolf Season 1 and 2
Oof, the 14th has passed. It's now safe to get on with things after that little bump on the road.
I have been working like crazy this week on my hd_remix piece so I've been laying low. To keep myself entertained during my marathon drawing sessions I've been marathoning Teen Wolf. I have now seen season 1 and 2. And I can now attest to understanding it's appeal: it's the gorgeous cast and the lovingly filmed close-ups of sculpted torsos.
[SPOILERS FOR TEEN WOLF SEASON 1 AND 2]
So let's see, impressions and comments. In random order.
1. Corny story-lines are corny, but everyone is so pretty, so who cares?
2. The Scott/Allison sugary love story was so so tiring and bland. Thank god for the rest of the characters in the show!
3. The guy who plays Scott is not really a good actor. The guy who plays Derek is so good at scowling and smouldering and had such distracting abs that I didn't even notice if he was any good. The guy who plays Stiles is a surprisingly good actor.
4. The girls are so so beautiful! And they wear totally ridiculous clothes to school. Stiletto heels? Really?
5. What sort of weird game is lacrosse anyway?
6. What's up with the daylight cycle in this weird town? It goes from day to night all of a sudden with no rhyme and reason. And how come it's almost always night?
7. Scott's mother is lovely and Stiles's father is a sweetheart. How come we don't see them hanging out together more often since their children are inseparable?
8. Jackson might be a bit of jerk, but considering his willingness to prance around naked I will forgive him. Can he leave Arrow and come back for season 3 please?
9. While the denouement of season 1's plot was rather good, season 2's plot ended up being ridiculous to Goblet of Fire heights of ridiculous convolutedness.
10. Allison's mother was a total bitch, was she not?
11. Allison was awfully easily manipulated to the dark side, don't you think?
12. Isaac is all kinds of lovely. I'm so happy they didn't kill him off!
13. I am really curious to learn the story behind the badass vet.
14. I really like how they made the token gay guy someone who plays sports, who is an all around nice guy and who everyone likes.
15. All this meeting the love of your life in high-school just makes me sick. But I guess if you live in a teeny tiny town, if you don't meet the love of your life in school then you never will, unless you move out the town.
16. It seems like people are constantly forgiven the slight infraction of murdering a person or two, probably due to their extreme good looks. (ie. Peter or Jackson)
17. Will someone please explain to me how Derek survives? He lives in a dilapidated burnt down home and has no job. He has no running water. No electricity. Does he hunt for food in the night and eat it raw? Does he bathe in the stream? Is that why he was so surprised to see a laptop? Have we seen him with a mobile phone, I forget? How did he buy it and pay for it? Where does he charge it?
18. Also what exactly is the story with Isaac? We didn't see a mother, so after his father was killed why wasn't he taken in by child support services? Is he living by himself in his old house? How does he support himself?
19. After Peter came back from the dead did he live in the dilapidated burnt down house with no electricity or water with Derek?
