I cannot begin to tell you how much of these are lies. maguskiller August 9 2011, 10:43:30 UTC
Years have taught me that I am in the habit of looking at things in the most efficient way possible. One could say that I am willing to take the fastest and least obstructed path towards reaching an objective. Under most circumstances, one could say that this is an ideal characteristic for anyone working in law enforcement, as the time saved on difficulties that would slow down others would be all the more valuable to people who would be put at risk during those intervals.

Adding to those qualities, I can also count myself as a good investigator, and am capable of using logical thinking to ascertain the actions of an individual. Rules are also something that come naturally to me, whether it be the ability to impose them or follow them. Even this is probably linked to my ability to learn quickly, which I’ve displayed in my job as an office worker. Also, I’ve already served as part of law enforcement back in my world, which has given me a fair amount of experience in the field.

Doting on my family has taught me several important lessons about myself. Remembering this at every possible situation, I value my skills as a tactician, and my personal philosophy is to reach a goal with as few losses as possible. Of course, should worse come to worse, I also have a fair amount of experience with firearms, which will undoubtedly contribute towards the safety of the town. Not unaware of the requirements for the job, I am willing to contribute my own towards the position, as I’m sure it will serve as an effective tool in any firefights that may ensue. Everything that I may do will be for the collective good of the town…

I have taken charge of positions of leadership before, and have handled them with a fair amount of success. Being given command of a large number of people, such as Mayfield’s police force, would increase their efficiency in regards to management and operations. I have no need for material possessions, and value the safety and fair judgment of the populace to a much greater degree.

I am fairly good at attaining the correct first impression of people, and analyzing their personalities and any actions they may take in the future. I consider this to be the most important quality someone in this line of work can possess, as it is much more ideal to stop a crime during its planning stages than after it happens. While my abilities are on the mundane side of the scale, I think it is much more important for someone in a position of power to have the mental capacity to make use of Mayfield’s abundant supply of powered individuals instead.

Finally, I’d like to add that I think I can improve myself through taking this opportunity, as having responsibility imposed upon a person is a good way to strengthen his character. Should I receive the position, I will try to use it to expand upon myself, and will try to bring as much change upon my person as the people that I will be attempting to reform.
