When: Friday afternoon
What: Allen finally got up the nerve to ask Shion out
Allen had been nervous all day, but he couldn't help feeling a bit of excitement mixed in with it. He actually had a date with Shion. Granted, there weren't that many good places to go in Mayfield, but the park was at least a good place to relax, as long as they were both dressed for the weather.
The walk there had seen him somewhat fidgety, but he had offered to carry the food, partly so Shion wouldn't have to and partly so he would have something to do with his hands other than rub the back of his neck, like he always did when he was nervous. He knew it was still obvious, but he felt better when he had something solid to focus on instead of thinking about his nerves.
When they finally reached the spot he'd picked, a relatively flat area not far from the lake, he let out a faint sigh and looked to Shion with a small smile. "Well...here it is. What do you think?"
