Who: The Mayor, Stein, everybody who signed up for Stein's field trip.
What: Stein takes his students on a field trip to City Hall to have a chat with your lovely, hardworking Mayor.
When: Morning.
Where: City Hall
Warnings: None.
It was a bright and shining morning in Mayfield; but then, this wasn't saying much, as every morning in Mayfield was bright and shining. Still, the Mayor admitted to himself, this one was particularly bright and shiny. All thanks to his hard work, of course.
His secretary, that sweet little Name Unavailable, had told him that one of the local teachers had requested to hold a field trip to City Hall, presumably for the noble purpose of educating the young people about Mayfield's history. A capital idea, the Mayor felt! Mayfield was, of course, the most perfect town in the most perfect country on God's green Earth; who wouldn't want to know the secret of creating and running such a place?
Today, he had decided, would be a wonderful day. When he was finished here, the schoolchildren and their teachers would walk away with a better understanding of their hometown. Why things were the way they were, and why it was important that they stayed that way- forever. And when they did, maybe, just maybe, they would appreciate the joy of living in Mayfield just a little bit more.
And if they didn't, well, there would be plenty of time to change their minds.
The Mayor beamed.
