Barr-Bee-Kyuu!

Warnings: I doubt we'll get anything worse than some swearing, unless things go HORRIBLY wrong. :I
What: The S.M.U.T Team's Potluck BBQ is tonight!
Notes: Hope it's okay that I godmodded some stuff for S.M.U.T Team folks...! I-it's only IC, r-ight?<3 Kyon, you don't have to do the grill the whole time; she's just barking out orders as per usual, etc. (I shoulda written this when you were online, dang; I can still edit it if you'd like me to)
Haruhi knew that the event would be a success. The weather was perfect, like it always was in this place, and thus had little to do with the reason for Haruhi's confidence. The greenness of the grass in the park was also incidental to the gleam in Haruhi's eye as she surveyed the preparations for the meeting. All she knew was that her team was making it happen, and that in and of itself was all that mattered.
"Come on, Kyon! If the barbecue grill isn't started by the time guests start arriving, I'm fining you!!" she ordered gleefully as the S.M.U.T Team members hurried about with the rest of preparations.
The spot was a short run away from the park's pond, and a short walk away from the kids' play area. Haruhi had already deemed the table there too small and abysmal, and had arranged for two card tables to be placed on the ends, allowing for a proper smorgasbord-style arrangement for all the food coming with the party's guests, all of it covered with red-and-white checkered table cloth. Heaps of plastic plates, cups, and cutlery were hurriedly thrown under one of the card tables in their plastic bags. Two coolers filled with nothing but ice (until guests filled it with whatever drink they brought) sat heavily in the grass nearby the park's provided barbecue grill, which would be used for whatever meats guests wanted to cook on-site.
Haruhi and several other members had managed to sneak out of their houses something over 10 lawn chairs for the gathering, but if that wasn't enough, there were 3 large picnic blankets arranged not too far away. An adorably-drawn sign taped to a small wooden post and stuck in the ground near the blankets, complete with flowers and...alien heads? warned guests to remove their shoes before taking a seat there. Last but not least, a few empty plastic garbage bags were tossed onto the ground near the tables, waiting to be filled with uneaten objects and carried home in Kyon's over-worked and exhausted arms after the evening was concluded.
Haruhi's contribution to the evening's dining was a festive-looking Okonomiyaki; easily made, and yet bursting with flavor. (Haruhi complained loudly and often, for the last few days, however, of the supermarket's lack of proper Okonomiyaki sauce for it)
All that was left was for the guests and their dishes to arrive.
What's for dinner?:
- Okonomiyaki (Japanese pizza-thing)
- Bratwurst
- Apple pie, other fruit-filled pies
- Bottle of automotive oil (for the robots, see)
- A variety of cookies, tonnnns of them
- Brownies
- AMERICA cake

- Faworki (Polish pastries)
- Pörkölt (beef stew)
- Rétes (sour cherry strudels)
- Lots and lots of vodka
- A large pot of pasta
- Unrecognizable English dish
- A single bottle of tap water
- Stacks and stacks of pancakes

When you tag this log, please let us know what food or drink your character brought to the dinner, so that characters can reply to your comment with their reactions if they happen to try what you brought, if so they choose! If your character didn't bring anything, I doubt it will be noticed, unless enough characters don't bring something that there's a lack of food. :D I will update the log with a list of items on the table, just to be all organized-like just for the heck of it.
Are you unsure if your character was invited to this shindig? We didn't really have time to RP all the invitation-handing-out out, so feel free to assume that you got one; with Kyon, Ed, and Yuno all helping pass them out, I think it's easy to say they didn't miss anyone. Would they give one to Asura, though...? BEATS ME~!))
