Who: Scout, hopefully Engie and maybe even Enma Ai.
What: Scout is playing detective and is scoping the town, planning a break-out.
Where: the streets of Mayfield
When: Midnight on 02/13
Warnings/Notes: technically this scene is public, if you're character is out on the streets at that time.
Scout had been woken by a phonecall early this morning. A man was telling him he was late for work. Scout just laughed at him, telling him that if he wasn't from BLU then he had no job with him. Man, this town. So fulla surprises. Sorry, but he had plans tonight, and he had his own work to do first.
Scout heard a little about the "drones", and the police. During the day he decided to to just take a leisurely stroll on the streets around his new home. Everything was so quiet, so perfect, so... boring. Dead boring. Compared to Boston, this place was a morgue.
He met up with a few drones, who were just as pleasantly vacant. Speaking with them, he learned where the police station was, where this supposed job was of his, where some of the other kidnappees he spoke with on the phone lives. He took careful note of that first location.
He found out where he worked was a sports supply shop. Well well, maybe I SHOULD go ta work today..." After apologizing to the man who was supposedly his boss (another vapidly nice drone), he finished out his shift, and left after the closing with a whole new set of baseball equipment. He thought about just making off with them, but Mayfield saw to fit him with some cash in his wallet, and this was not the time to attract any unwanted attention from the law. But now he basically had a replica of his usual uniform and a nice aluminum bat, which surprisingly made him feel a lot more comfortable. He was still missing his headset, dogtags and his bat, the good ol' Sandman, but it was a start.
After returning home, Scout leaves a voice mail for Engie, telling him to meet him on the corner of Mitchell Street near his house at midnight. Be sure to be properly equipped, know what I mean? [chuckle] He tells Ai, one of the girls living in his house, what he's planning to do. It's simple, really! After talking with some residents, Scout had learned that the police don't typically walk the streets, and there's no walls or guards keeping them confined in the town. He's pretty sure they probably have some kind of precautions, but they can't be perfect. They're going to find a way out, and if they're quiet enough, the police won't find out about it. From what people are saying, the bad shit goes down on this town around holidays, and tomorrow is Valentine's Day. If they're getting out, they need to do it NOW.
