[The knock on the door stirs the Doctor from his nap on the couch. It was one of those days where he had meant to get to bed but didn't quite make it all the way.

He sniffs and pulls the duvet tightly around his shoulders and shuffles over to the door, blinking in the light as he pulls it open.]

Hullo?

[Sarah Jane frowns at the sight. Not a good sign.]

Doctor. How... are you doing?

[coolbowtie]

Fine, fine. Just... nodded off on the couch for a few minutes.

[Or a few hours. He steps aside so she and K9 can walk in and shuts the door, shivering slightly. He shuffles back over the couch and drops down on it.]

What can I do for you, my Sarah Jane.

[Something's definitely off. Again.]

Just checking in. It's Christmastime, after all.

[he rubs K9 affectionately behind the ear.]

Though... technically you're a bit late.

It's been... a busy few weeks, hasn't it. Manages to give the way Christmas tends to go at home a run for its money.

Yes, I suppose it has.

[Pulling a tissue out his pocket and blowing his nose.]

But that's not why you're here.

I suppose there never was any fooling you.

Doctor, what's bothering you?

Oh. Just a cold from the weather Rory says. Need to wait until my body adjusts or it warms up or something. So it's really just some sniffles and feeling a bit tired.

This place is... really getting to you, isn't it? I've never known you to take ill easily.

[coolbowtie]

Oh, I am really alright. Just... tired, I suppose. Too may days in the cold. And this body is rather new and unused to it.

Sounds like at the very least you need a decent cup of tea.

Could always use one of those, sniffles or not.

[Not entirely convinced, but tea seems like a good start]

Tea does wonders. It sounds like you could use some soup, but that will have to depend on ifyou have it in a can here.

Of course. Luke will be the first to tell you that's about all I can manage when it comes to cooking soup.
