He struggled to find things to keep him busy. He'd wired the TV to sync to the TARDIS so it could play their DVD collection, Monty Python was always enjoyable, even at night. But he couldn't concentrate on it even when remembering all the jams he'd gotten the crew out of. Sorry John, he thought as he stared blankly at the telly, arms wrapped around his knees, not really watching or listening.
Had he done the right thing coming back? Even if it had all been a dream, there had been a moment where he hadn't existed. He'd tricked Amy into bringing him back, but she was so happy before. Was she happy now? After she'd lost her baby and been kidnapped for months? The thought made him sick.

Well- he could at least try really checking first. Funny sort of thing about not being able to sleep. He was rubbish at doing it alone, and not afraid to admit to himself that he was a bit selfish about it as well.
... he could try Amy if nobody was awake here, too, even if he had very sincere hopes that she was managing a good night's sleep this time around. Nothing lost if nothing came of it, he reminded himself. Rory walked up, starting with the garage, and hesitated.
Garage-knocking-on. Really.
These things really were easier on the TARDIS.

Oh. Sorry, I woke you up, didn't I. [ Well, it looks like he might have, he can only ever guess. Hold on. ] Doctor, were you sleeping in your garage?

[Rubs at his face with his arms.]
And so what if I have. It's a fine place for a nap.

It's a terrible place, actually. Especially when you've got a proper bed. [ Or couch, or floor, or anywhere really in the house. Or a TARDIS. ]

[Yaaaaaaaaaaawn.]
Wasn't planning on sleeping anyway.

[ Make sure nobody was sobbing over a horrible accident or bleeding to death. Not think about a thing or two. ]

[Sighs deeply. For all his talk, he looks tired.]
You really should be more careful.

You're telling me to be more careful. You do realize how unnecessary that is, don't you?

[ Probably not the best thing to be resigned to, but man it's been useful. ]
