What: The Mayor's Office seems untouched by the devastation pervading Mayfield. The front door's open; will you head inside?

[Bernkastel glances at the body as she enters.]

The coward's way out.

[The desk drawer is of more interest, though. She looks inside.]

[Inside the desk drawer is a vinyl record. The tape on its edge says simply: "FIRST THANKSGIVING".

Lacking a record player to play it at the moment, of course, means that it's little more than a flat black disc for now.]

[The tip of her tail twitches once, and she eyes the record with interest. Certainly something to keep safe. She tucks it away as best she can for now, and looks at the body again.]

Was your death too hasty, or was this intentional? Hm, we'll find out later.

[Bernkastel has obtained one (x1) VINYL RECORD! It can't be played now, but when/if she plays it after the event, contact the mods and we'll reveal its contents.]

(Well, someone's already beaten her to the office. Miss Pauling arrives just in time to see Bern pocket the vinyl.)

Miss Bernkastel? Are you alright?

(The Mayor gets nothing more than the first glance. He's dead and gone.)

[Bernkastel's eyes slide over to Mis Pauling before she turns her head to regard the woman.]

The door was open; I took the opportunity to examine this place.

I hope you don't mind me asking then...I noticed that you obtained a vinyl record from here. Are you planning to run it, by any chance?

[cruelmiracle]

At the moment, it would be difficult.

[She gestures out a window at the destruction.]

Once the show is over, I don't see why I shouldn't.

[prpl_assistant]

(She doesn't doubt that this whole spectacle is a "show", she's pretty sure that this might be yet another trick by the town. If the April Fool's event was any proof, she wouldn't be surprised if the town returned to normal by the next week, at the most.

Still, any information would be precious.)

I don't suppose you would be willing to share the information from the record with me? It's definitely a new piece that moves the game to a new stage.
