When Aigis entered the house, it was rather convenient--though not for him, clearly--that Minato had been in the living room of the house reading a book, apparently an 'English to Japanese' dictionary. He heard the visitor come in but didn't bother setting his book down, instead turning a page and looking over more translations. He'd just figured it was Iris or Edgeworth coming back, not an actual visitor, because as bad as Mayfield could be sometimes, people still seemed to follow the general rule of 'knock and wait'.

"Target identified." The voice was cold and robotic. There was the sound of metal scraping against metal as Aigis prepared herself.

"Initiating attack."

What the-- that voice doesn't sound right at all, and when Minato lifts his head he just stares at the girl before him, eyes just a little bit wide. Of course, he'd heard her like that before, but... she must've been joking or something, right?

"...Aigis?"

Setting his book aside, Minato stood from his seat on the couch, look fairly... well. Ready to move if he needed to.

"Please do not move." There's no hint of joking in those eyes, Minato. This isn't Aigis. She takes a step forward and raises her right hand.

Something wasn't right, not even in the least bit, and Minato felt that familiar pit of dread fall into his stomach like a weight bearing down on him. Aigis didn't... feel like Aigis. He shifts his initial posture into one that would be easier to dodge with and looks at that raised right hand for a moment before back to the girl once more, trying to glean some kind of information from them and finding absolutely nothing.

"What's wrong?"

She didn't respond. But she did fire.

Just barely able to catch the movement of gunfire before it happened, Minato practically leaped to the side, only barely managing to dodge being gunned down. The couch he'd been seated on earlier? Not quite so lucky.

Hm. That wasn't supposed to happen. He was supposed to stay still. She frowns. And there's an audible click as she reloads.

He couldn't think of how something like this could've happened. Maybe if he had seen her leave before, he might've caught on to what Aigis had done, but for now... it just didn't make sense.

Thankfully, he'd managed to land on his feet as opposed to flopping on the ground, so he was somewhat ready for her next move. But it didn't stop the question, confused look from seeping into his face just a little.

"...Aigis. Why are you doing this?"

"Machines are created for a purpose. My purpose is to destroy my designated targets. You are one of those targets." That voice... it sounded like Aigis, but it didn't feel like her. The words weren't hers something was missing, if she had any control she would have fought, tried to stop this... but brainwashing was different from programming, and not even she could stop this.

It had been the sounds of gunshots that had alerted him to something being very wrong in one of the houses he was walking by. The door was cracked open, and he slipped inside, following the sounds of... conversation. Aigis. That was Aigis' voice.

He caught the words, heard them, didn't quite understand. That was wrong. Aigis wouldn't say that, based upon prior conversation.

Standing in the doorway of the living room, confused. "Aigis-chan?"

"You're not a machine." Even though he had been confirmed as a target (which was a bit more painful, the words actually coming out of her mouth as opposed to just the gunfire, but he knew that something was wrong and refused to take it as 'something Aigis would say'.) Minato didn't budge from where he stood, didn't even make an attempt to reach for the two fun-like objects at his sides. "You're Aigis."

At the sound of a mostly unfamiliar voice though, Minato turned his head, looking over at Kaito for a brief moment and raising an eyebrow just barely despite the situation. Who was this?

"I am a humanoid tactical weapon." She turned to Robo to see what exactly was calling for her. She didn't look pleased. "You are uninvolved in the situation. Remove yourself."

There was something very very wrong with Aigis.

"Actually, I'm very involved in the situation."

A pause, before he speaks again, tracing out possible routes of escape and attack.

"Are you going to kill him?"

Minato still doesn't know who the stranger is, not really, but he had to resist the urge to tell him to leave. Mostly because that would mean admitting that Aigis was dangerous right now, and it was Aigis, but at the same time... if the other teen got involved, he might get hurt, and Minato couldn't let that happen.

...good job, guys, you're destroying his brain.

"You're Aigis." He says again, with a little more force behind the words this time than before.

"I will eliminate all targets." She raises her hand again, aiming directly at Minato once more.
