Who: The Asia Family
What: Chinese New Year, hosted by Korea and Vietnam
When: February 3rd
Where: The park
Warnings: It’s the Asians trying to be a family. That’s your warning.
Notes: Backdated about a month, to before Valentines! No we’re not late at all, thanks very much.
Being away from their respective homes is hardly going to stop this nation-family from celebrating one of the most festive holidays of the year. The park has been transformed into a sea of red, with paper decorations and lanterns hanging down from the trees. Barbeque-the Korean kind, the best kind-is being cooked in one corner, and all the boards and pieces for traditional games are laid out in the grass. Who knows, there may even be some fireworks saved for later. So feel free to eat, socialize, and have fun-but make sure you remembered those red envelopes!
