[Ruri was tagging along, mostly, because it saved her from having to hot wire Scott's car, and meant it could be dismantled later, her notebook and chalk in hand]
Mr. Veidt! How fortuitous~. I'd be most grateful for a ride~.
[[She has hijacked one of the kids' school bags and stuffed it with a few notebooks, plenty of pencils, and a camera and plenty of film, as well as a couple of sandwiches that will probably soon be squished, but ah well.]]
[[And she settles in the back seat of the car. Woe betide whoever is sitting on her left, as hidden in her trousers is a very awkward metal and wood machine surrounding her left knee, and knocking into it will hurt.]]
Okay, so...you got any idea where the hell this might take us? 'Cause I ain't exactly heard good things about the last time people were able to leave Mayfield.
[[Theta shudders. Since losing all of her memories of her time with Albedo, death has returned to being unpleasant. However, she can't argue with Veidt's logic, so she quickly puts on a smile of her own.]]
With death as impermanent as it is, we can afford to be brave~.

Yeah, well, I've died once now. Pretty sure one of the reasons you're only ever supposed to do it once is because it's exactly as bad as it sounds and no one should have to do it twice. [Bitter? Lyn? No.] I've lived in Hell, and dying is still pretty high up there on the list of Shit I Never Wanna Do Again.
