Day 2--Evening

[...this seemed all backwards--everyone else being in the basement and Flandre upstairs. But it was...bright down here, this time--brighter, but the lights were still on somewhere. And it was warm--not like a basement at all.

There wasn't that distinctive tinkling sound as she went down the stairs, but the steps did creak a bit.

The little vampire calls out before she even reaches the bottom.]

Remi? Are you here?

Flan? Yes, I'm here!

[Barely even hiding her concern as she quickly goes to meet the little vampire, hugging her tightly]

[Flandre perks up immediately when she hears the reply, fluttering her good wing excitedly in greeting. She wiggles her injured wing out of the way somewhat, but she's just so happy the pain seemed like a very distant thing.]

Remi, Remi!

[She nuzzles at her sister and returns the squeeze. SO MUCH SQUEAKING.]

[Remi's glad to see her and doesn't even care if Flandre's squeezing too hard and OH MY GOD WHAT'S THAT]

The house fell down on me, Remi. So I was stuck, but Marisa got me out again.

[Though she wound up with some broken wingbones anyway, due to that whole SUDDENLY RUBBLE thing. The largest outer rib which has been broken in two places, and one of the inner ribs which has only broken once, to be exact. There's some crude wooden splints taped in place to keep the bones straight.]

[Flandre rests her head against her sister's shoulder. She chirps again, but more softly this time.]

...does it look okay, Remi?

[It certainly didn't look normal to Flandre, being all swollen up around the fractures--where the other wing was smooth and sleek-looking in comparison. But she hadn't had wings like these in a very long time, so she's not quite sure.]

Mm. You've definitely hurt it badly. B-but, I'm sure it will heal just fine! We just need to give it time...

[Something she's not entirely sure they have, given the situation...]

[And she pillows her head on her sister, with her one good wing draping over Remilia's arm in an affectionate gesture. Flandre didn't know time might be running out--but sister was always right, so of course she would get better.]

Mm. That's a good girl. We just need to stay in here and wait until things calm down a little...

[The smaller vampire chirps a little, again. Sister was here, so all was right with the world--and at the moment, this was the extent of Flandre's current understanding of things.

Her embrace tightens a bit anyway.]

[It made Remilia happy, didn't it? Of course it did. Yes. Remi wasn't smiling right now, but...!]
