The past week has been...stressful. Donna's not sure if she wants to really think too hard about any of it, but she's pacing her take-a-break apartment with her pinpoint and a half-empty glass of red wine, talking to her father's publisher. She's not especially interested in discussing the release of his books in special editions -- a decision made largely without her input, since his death -- but she's also not particularly interested in sitting around smoking herself into an early grave and doing absolutely nothing, which is more or less what she's been doing otherwise.
Having left a note for Jonathan, she's not really expecting to be bothered. When she gets off the phone, she goes to sit in the window and smoke.
