関ジャニ∞ Challenge: Days 20-23
Day 20 - A Fanwork (made by you or others)
I can't draw or write to save my life, and it was quite a leap of faith jumping into JE fic. There are thing I don't click like Arashi, KATTUN and HSJ fic.
But somehow there are interesting themes and writing in the K8 and NEWS fandom. I don't have trouble with AU, if the premise or the outcome is good.
This one features a rare pairing (Yoko/Maru) but I felt like the pace on its writing takes you along with it and doesn't make it that difficult. And the group dinamics are lovely.
they begin to leave notes for each other regularly in random places: tucked between the seat and armrest on the passenger seat of Yoko’s car, twisted around the opening of a milk carton inside Maru’s fridge, hidden inside pockets of stage costumes, taped on dressing room mirrors. They never talk about it when they see each other for filming and rehearsals though, and Yoko is perfectly fine with this arrangement.
Your socks stink because you sweat so much, Yoko’s handwriting sprawled across a small slip of paper.
You sweat a lot too! You should bring extra towels in your bag like I do! Maru retorts.
Then buy me some.

I like the sense of warmness and simplicity (don't take it as "simple" but somehow easy to get along with it as a reader) of in her writing. One of the first fics I've read on this fandom and still endearing.
Note: of course, this fic isn't a kiddie's fic.
Day 21 - A picture of your Kanjani 8 Stuff.
