Fandom roundabout! Autumn Drama Season 09 and SMAP blast from the past!

Nov 10, 2009 17:23

Here are a few reviews about this season dramas and a comment about a Kimura Takuya drama, Nemureru mori.
Don't expect smart reviews, only a few opinions, because I haven't seen ALL of them, as the subs are a bit slow yet. Consider yourself spoilered.

Tokyo DOGS. I almost forgot that Oguri Shun and Hiro were together in Hana Kimi, we can tell they can be a comedy duo.
So we have an odd couple solving a case together, because Oguri's character wants to take revenge of a Yakuza leader, who killed his police dad. They have an amnesiac witness to protect (can you sense a triangle?) and even when they spend half the time bickering they seem to develop a friendship.
Probably this is the regular police drama formula, but at least they got style, as you can see in the pic. XDD
Ok, I cheated because I don't have at hand my file. But he looks great in his new ad.

[Will edit with a drama pic]
My Girl: I wonder why they gave Aiba a fugly girlfriend.  >>;;;
The series is full of sap and teary moments, ergo, I like it. The girl is really really cute and Aiba does a decent job.
Also I got why people voted him as best jeanist. XDD;;
But still he needs some sandwiches. And he doesn't sing.

Ohitorisama: Aside personal projections, is an interesting series, at least for the 30-something worker who thinks her life is complete just by herself, and the idea is of course, that probably that's not everyhting in life.
Also, Giri giri fansub points in their notes to an interesting article about this new "soushou-kei danshi"  who apparently just live in trend and doesn't compromise.

But in the other hand it was pretty weird imagining a Teppei look-alike buying "helf self" toys. >.>;;
Another thing to lure you in this series: Maya Miki. ^^
I hope that with this series Koike Teppei graduates from the cute roles (though it's difficult seeing how Arisa-san towers over him XDD) but it gives a bit of depht for future roles.
One of the biggest questions in the industry: then what in the hell Eiji Wentz does now? XD

Still on the list to watch: Untouchable, HS Samurai, Jin, ROMES and Gyne, I still haven't DLed Shojoko Seira.

You can consider this post done, but here are few pimping notes about Nemureru mori, based only on the first ep, of course.

How are memories built? Can your memories be altered? What if your ~real~ memories are asleep, waiting to awake?

In this series we follow how Minako, who despite her blurry childhood memories has faith in the future, marrying the man of her dreams.
 While packing her belongings to move to ther new apartment, founds some love letters from a childhood friend she doesn't remember, who sets their encounter some day in the future, due the next day.
So she goes back to her hometown to meet Naoki in the forest where she used to play. Naoki seems to know all about her, even when she doesn't remember him at all.He asks her to leave everything behind and live a new life in this sleeping forest.
She refuses, but Naoki claims the real Minako has just woke up. She goes back to the city, but soon she'll discover that not ony her memories will come back to her but her past as well.

I watched the first episode and was really intriging.
This is a mistery series and promises some plots twists in it.

Kimura is still a youngster, I'm not awed by the hotness but he really played well his know it all character. I'm looking forwars to his plans.
And I find Nakamura toru (Minako's fiancee) really handsome. There was something about guys in the 90's, because they looked manlier then. XDD.

this takuya pwns them all, smap rabu, je i want my brain back, jdramas, arashi bandwagon
