Time to change partners...

In your lame rec of the week:

Minami is a model who at her 31 years old, has been scammed, left at the altar by her fiancee and when storms out looking for him meets his roomate, Sena (Kimura Takuya), so without any place and money, ends shacking up with him, and this storie begin, involving her brother and his his girlfriend, Ryoko (Sena's former love interest ), and Momoko (Minami's best friend).
This drama is so 90's in the sense of the relationships plotted, it almost made think of Melrose Place because of all the changing partners dynamic.

It was interesting in how this series focus on Minami, a woman over her 30's who has to start over, because there's no future in the industry for her, and seems that she got no skills whatsoever save for her enthusiasm.
Sena, despite being a talented pianist, is a young man (he's 24) who builds a wall to not let show his true self (which portrays in his playing, as seems that he hasn't played for anybody's sake). But still, their personalities click and there's an enjoyable partnership that may/may not develope.
While she's at a turning point of his life and she has to keep going, Sena advices to stay still, live the moment as if it's a long vacation and eventually things will get going.
And they will indeed.

Personally interesting, because the plot writing and the approachment tell a lot about how relationships are set when you're in your 20's (and I completely missed). I wonder if some patterns are still in Japan nowadays. also, if you put attention to the  production, things were simpler in the  90's, probably this was before the boom of style, curte and fashionable, the concept of modeling seems closer to the western side, less gravure and kawaii-ness. Another interesting trait: there are NO cellphones yet!!!

There's something about Minami's struggle and the way she sees herself (apparently being 30 qualifies you as an old hag), probably because I'm her age range. XD;; Also that there are stages of your life in which soon or later you have to make choices, and love isn't an easy one. Probably the answer is the same: just buckle up and go with it without thinking.

In other news, finally I got my phone and seems to be nice to me, though sometimes is overwhelmed with my memory stick. XD;;;
On the other hand, I don't have ANY contact in my SIM card and I have to get them all again. -________-
Also I need a new cellphone strap too, as my Panda Z one died too :(.

this takuya pwns them all, smap rabu, jdramas, lame recs
